Everything went great today. Car drove good and nothing broke. Performance was acceptable.

Best 1/4mile pass was a 9.55@143mph with a 1.36 60ft. 6.10@113mph to the 1/8th. This was on an 82 jet. My one and only pass on that tune up... Plugs look a touch rich so there is lots left with more testing.

I also went 9.96@137mph on a little 63 jet. Ran a few easy 10.0's getting that little tune up sorted.

The car went 10.54@124mph on motor.

All in all a great day. Really happy with the car. Weather was like 48*F... keeping bottle pressure up without my heater was tough... most all passes were on only 850-900psi bottle pressure.... I did bring camera and cell phones so will post some video later.

Finally got another video uploaded.

This was on the little 62N jet with 900psi of bottle pressure.

You can hear the car leave and then a split second later the NO2 comes on... I've been racing a straight shift street car for so long that I was still "unlearning" the half throttle launch thing....

9.96@137mph in the 1/4 6.30@108 to the 1/8th mile

I think that means that it takes off like a banshee when the NOS kicks in.

If you listen to the video close you can hear the engine change tone... thats me going WOT about 20ft out...

My 92 6spd car, I have to hold it half throttle for the first 20 to 40ft to keep it from blowing the tires off.... I was still doing this for the first few passes in the 84 until I noticed what I was doing wrong...

So on the 84 you just mash it and go, basically?

Pretty much....

On the line, I stall the converter up to 4000rpm.... This is so it dosen't hit the tires (and rear end) so hard on the launch.... When the light comes down I go WOT.
