I decided it was time, The Nakamichi has served me well but has issues with the CD player.. sometimes it works sometimes it does not.
I have been wanting a Navigation unit for my vette, but also wanted a connection for my phone or for an iPod or such. I found something that a couple people have been very happy with and the price was right. I bought a Pioneer SPH-DA100 (AppRadio2)in OEM trim it is very limited with my Smart phone, but there is a Cool App, ARLiberator, that unlock a lot of potential for this and allows full control of my phone from the headunit. This will give me a nice connection for using Pandora, Google Music and the Unit itself has a tuner for FM and AM built it. Also has a GPS antenna, Handsfree mic, and option for back up Camera. AI will be installing it without the camera for now, but looking forward to using it  |

I've been waiting for more Android powered head units before I buy a touch screen nav unit. I just felt that as the industry adopted the web connect and app use that the functionality would literally double and slow the process of obsoletion.
