Good morning gang.

First I'll say the bathroom looks great Tom. Congrats on the whole team for a job well done.

Not much else going on. Made it to the end of the week and looking forward to a couple of days off.

Nice and cool here this morning in N.E. Indiana temps in the high 50's to low 60's. We should reach a high in the mid 80's today.

Word of the Day Friday, July 12, 2013

ploce\ PLOH-see \, noun;

1. the repetition of a word or phrase to gain special emphasis or to indicate an extension of meaning, as in Ex. 3:14: “I am that I am.”

Origin:

Ploce comes from the Greek word plokḗ meaning "plaiting" as in "braiding." This extension of the word in a rhetorical sense as been used since Hellenistic Greece.

Hyvää huomenta!

I got to sleep in a bit - gonna work from home this morning and then take the afternoon off to play golf. Seems like a good way to ease into the weekend.

Have a great Friday, Gurus!

Morning guys...I'm upand need to get around and head west. Seems like I've been gone forever. Actually, I've been home three nights in the last three weeks. There are things that I need to do at home. Should take around 6 hours. I'll check in when i get home.

Morning guys, been lurking again recently. Still tied up with too much going on, but I'm not complaining, just need to juggle all the fun things in life!

Work crazy but successful, Zilla now has a 2Bar MAP tune and I'm loving it (I will try and find time to post details, and importantly get to the dyno so I can see if I can make over 650 at the wheels), my son is currently 8th out of 35 in this years Formula D Pro-Am and we're headed to Charlotte tonight for round 3 tomorrow.

Hope you have a great weekend Gurus!

So, I was on the Charter cable website to check email and saw "Check out the 5 best U.S. markets for homes."

Reno, Nv. - up 32%......YEA, that's great ........er, um.....wait, ......Reno's been the worst in the country for, like 6-7 years.

That's like climbing up 10 feet when you're in a 50 foot hole.....................the sunlight is still not within your reach.

Meanwhile at Wallyworld......

A very loud, unattractive, mean-acting
woman walked into Wal-Mart with her two kids, yelling
obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.

The Wal-Mart Greeter said pleasantly, 'Good morning, and
welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they
twins?'

The woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Hell no they
ain't! The oldest one's 9 and the other one's 7. Why the
hell would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or just
stupid?'

'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am,' replied the greeter.
'I just couldn't believe someone would sleep with you twice.
Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.'

Good looking start to the day here. 84 is where we top out. So says the news anyway.
That bathroom remodel LOOKS great. How about a trip to Morgan Hill, CA and you can redo the parks bathrooms....

Good Morning CGs!

I am feeling quite apathetic today and feel like being lazy. I know that won't happen as I'm sure the wife has plans for me.

Car was acting goofy again last night. It randomly/intermittently develops a stumble like it has a vacuum leak. When this happens if I put it from park to reverse, the rpms drop 400-500 and it stalls. Had to brake hard last night to avoid a car and she stalled out in traffic. Started right back up, but every time I tried to put it in drive without extra gas it stalled until I got moving again. It has been doing this off and on for 2 years. The new setup has a new intake and new throttle body so it's not that. It has a new IAC, did the same with the old one. Thought the booster might be leaking internally, so I removed and capped the line, but it stalled the same way in reverse as when connected. Checked for vacuum leaks with propane the other night, nothing. So now I'm thinking one of three things could be causing it - intermittent TPS, intermittent maf problem, something strange in tune related to IAC.

Timing was good last time I set it, but I'll recheck it. I think I have an extra TPS in my parts box and I have an extra MAF I will try. I just want to sort this out, it's annoying.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Well, no chance to work on the car today. Cleaned up the house a bit, worked out, and took the kids in the pool for the first time this year. Now we are getting them cleaned up and dinner started shortly. Friday nights in the summer the village puts on movies for the kids on a big screen in one of the parks. It's a nice little outdoor amphitheater and they do a good job. Kids enjoy it, but it doesn't start until 9:00 so they are exhausted by the end. Still should be fun.

I made it home this afternoon and unloaded the pickup. I didn't get all the tools put away, that will have to wait another day. I'm tired and can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight.
