My very little goddaughter needs a model Corvette of her own (not one that she will steal from her long suffering older brother). The requirements: 1) Inexpensive (she's going to destroy it). 2) Pink or purple. 3) Not a Barbie car. I was thinking of getting an inexpensive white 1:32 model, masking the shiny and rubber parts and painting it. I don't have a lot of time or skill. It doesn't have to be the best looking paint job ever, but it can't flake off like crazy. Questions for people who just might be able to help: 1) Can I use something like Krylon? 2) What should I mask with? |

A metal car would last way longer.

Yea, just use a very light coat first then a slightly thicker one (full coverage).
The Fusion & Testors are better for bare plastic, the regular spray paints will go on everything else except over lacquer. |

Well, you aren't going for the aesthetics. But, it would be another layer of protection (just a little bit because it's not urethane). Might protect a light color better. And it won't start hiding the small details like another coat of color would. |
