I don't warm my gaskets up, I just pound them out. Does it soften them up well?

Good job on the slotting, exactly how I did it. But I put about 4 screws in the vise at a time, cut down on time since I'm lazy....lol.

Just what I learned on the farm. Warming the gaskets. Helps a little. I slotted just one for the picture. I am pretty lazy to do just one at a time.

Well pellum is off working on runners. The bolt on the drivers inside is being a pain in the but. Broke my 1/4/ratchet on it need longer Torx socket T40 or the hard way and pull the distributor. You know to me if you can see it I feel you should be able to get to it.

This sensor under the pellum MAT is really carbon up

I will find a short cut to get to it.

Pull the dizzy now, you have to anyway. I bought a snap on extended torx bit and it is awesome, no worrying about it snapping or rounding off and good for getting in deep spots.

Honestly that is one of the easiest ways to get in there I would have done that first. It also prevents damage to the distributor.

Job will be on hold till Sunday. I had someone else at the shop install the runner and looks like they lost some bolts. They put non star bolts in the bottom of the runners. I am pulling the valve cover and on my vet it is a pain in the ass to get the driver side out. The only way to get them out. I will put the correct ones when I install the runners on the super Ram.

Leaving for the beach when school is out. Going to enjoy my thanksgiving there.

Nice job!

FYI - A post on CF = a fellow dropped a bolt down the distributor hole while working with it removed. Maybe stuff a rag in the hole to keep debris out?

Hey I like my oil warmed in the morning.

And at the track that little factory oil cooler brought my oil temps down from 305 to about 270. That is with a DeWitt radiator and a nice long 130-120mph straightaway and banked turn each lap.

I'm not even using the oil cooler built into my radiator tank, because I didn't like the oil filter thermostat adapters that all start opening before 160. Too cold!

With the big oil cooler out back, I make sure to drive my car around the paddock once it's off the trailer, to bring not just the engine oil, but everything else up to temp.

My friend has a heater on the oil tank of his GT1 car for just that purpose.

Want to use something better.
1/4 " air was great. I hope my grand daughters didn't lose too much stuff whil they were visiting their dad. My son moved in. Just him you can guess.

Make sure you lube the o-rings before you install them. Once you get the rail on and tightened down, pressurize the system to check for leaks.

These appear to be hung to make it easy to start. Not working starting these is a bitch. I was going to grind these down to fit in the slot. Passenger side

Looking for experience want a good reliable air tight seal.

Your opinion

Hopefully these will work.

What bolts or fitting need thread sealant to stop air leaks

I heard these bolts should be torqued between 18-20 lb

any one know for sure

This is the easy part.
Stepped on tube of antseize what a mess I made with the dogs walking through it. Bottom two runner bolts driver side lower left to go.

Well thought I could cut corners by grind down the shaft on the #6 ball end.

Nope had to remove rocker arms.
The fuel injector don't leak,
few suction lines under the fuel injectors.
chip is here from PCM
The pelum and what ever else is not attached
.looks easy from here will know soon
Might not get to finish tomorrow as my best friend wants to go run the dogs in the snow.

I think having fun with her will win.

Ok Matatk looks like you are right the dizzy has to come out .Being the butt I am still going to try just taking the cap off.
The plug on the wiper is tight fit and getting a line to the brake booster will take some routing.

Just take it out!

I had to reclock mine 180*. Other people have made it fit somehow, but I couldn't adjust my timing when it was installed the stock way. Some guys convert to a small cap with external coil. Ymmv.

This connector out of the manifold almost fell out. Pissed at the guys that put this stuff together for me.
The fuel pressure has held a couple hours so far guess it is ok. The metal line under the runners on the passenger side can that just be replaced with hoses as it is a pain in the butt to get it in there. The end of that line by the firewall does it get it's suction from the line that connects to the throttle body?

This system may work:

A piece of cloth taped over the end of a length of heater hose then tape the heater hose in a vacuum nozzle & suck the bolt out of the runner.

Good luck.

Good idea with the vacuum, you can also try a piece of tape wrapped around a coat hanger with the sticky part out, or some body dum-dum in the same fashion.

Matatk it was on the far side of the manifold. Got it on the first stab with the heater hose.

Going slowly only a couple pain in the butt bolts in the middle to get started and tightened down. Stuffed rags in each runner. Taking a break watching news.

Well getting closer. Decided to not put the steel line vacuum back on. Need two plugs for extra holes. Had plenty of other fittings.
I tightened the lid bolts with the 1/4 air ratchet. No idea what torque would be on them.

Praying for no vacuum leaks. Knock on wood
