Good morniing gang.

Cold here this morning temps in the low 40's and rain. Today will be a cold wet breezy day.

So lets get going.

Word of the DayT hursday, April 03, 2014

bedash\ bih-DASH \, verb;

1. to dash or spatter (something) all over: to bedash a salad with pepper.

2. to dash or strike against: windows bedashed with rain.

3. to demolish or ruin; obliterate: His dreams of glory were quickly bedashed.

Origin:

Bedash entered English in the mid-1500s. It is a combination of the prefix be- , which was used in Old English in the formation of verbs, and the root dash , meaning "to apply roughly."

Good Morning CGs!

40s here today and we are experiencing some really heavy thunderstorms with lightning. Thunder was shaking the house this morning. Radio said streets are flooding all over. Now instead of slipping on ice, stupid drivers are hydroplaning into each other. Awesome.

Picked up the tires last night but didn't get them put on the car yet. Soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Greetings! So far it's just spitting a little rain, but later they're gonna turn up the Suck knob on the weather machine. I think I'll plan on working from home tomorrow, as I'm sure that if we get all the snow they're predicting, the commute would be delightful.

Have a good day, Gurus!

I just checked the weather - it's not snowing at 8,574 feet on the Carson Pass, Route 88,

Since I'll be towing a car trailer on the 2 lane road @ 70mph, it's good there's no snow.

Picking up a 67 Ford F100 truck cab - exciting? - Not.

Hung the video camera upside down in the C4 yesterday but I can't get Windows Movie Maker to flip it.

It's what happens when U go cheapo on a HD video camera.

It will be easier to spend 10 minutes making a mount adapter than trying to figure out Movie Maker.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen . May I say it's just a fine day here in South Florida. I just returned from a delivery run to beautiful Islamorada, an hours drive south in the relaxed Florida Keys. I'm back home now and I'll figure out what I want to get done today. Maybe I'll have to sleep on it. That would not be very productive though.

At 8,574 feet in altitude, there's still 10 feet of snow in places.

But the road was dry so I could get up to 75 on the straights towing an open car trailer.

Greetings, Gurus!

Today is baking day for my shop tomorrow. You've seen some of the pics, but here's my typical weekend's offerings. I made my usual items (these are items that I've learned are very popular)- Banana Cake, Butter Cake, Lemon Pound Cake, Fudgy Chocolate Cake, and I added Kahlua Cake this week.

A Green Olive Bread (I change the flavor each week).

Chocolate Chip Biscotti (I change the flavor of biscotti each week, too; this is my first week of doing this flavor).

Flourless PB Choc Chip Cookies GF, Cranberry Lemon Cookies V, Coconut Lime Cookies V, Chocolate Chip Cookies V, Coconut Cookies GF, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies NSA, and Choc Chip Walnut Cookies NSA.

I change fudge flavors each week also - this week it's Chipotle Fudge and Almond Fudge (new this week).

I also did some Glazed Pecans - haven't made nuts in a long time, but was getting some requests to do it again.

I still need to finish packaging, but thought I'd take a little break! Weather's lovely here - not like some of the craziness that you all are facing!

I sell at a placed called CRAFTED, a permanent handmade marketplace, and it is only open on the weekends (Fri, Sat & Sun) from 11a-6p with some extended hours or days for holidays and special events. It's located in San Pedro at the LA Waterfront where there are other things to do like visiting Ports O'Call, USS IOWA, SS Lane Victory, Maritime Museum, etc.

I also do a few shows (craft fairs/boutiques/etc) now and then. It's a new business, so still trying to figure out more venues.

That's the trick, finding the venues that work well with your product. The right show/fair/market can make a considerable impression on your wallet.
