When the ac is in this position:

I get this:

first off, in picture one, above, the controls are set to vent, no AC cycling.

The AC setting runs in a fully automated mode, meaning it will adjust ducting to keep the air equally cool, top, middle and bottom.

There are thermisters in the dashboard and under the dash, to monitor temps and direct air as needed. You will notice at times, the air will get cool at the footbox then move up to the dash, that's why.

From what I can see, the AC pressures are behaving as I would expect them to. The first pressure reading is as it should be in a static mode, the 2nd reading, as it should be with the compressor engaged and the pressures elevated accordingly.

IIRC, the compressor cycles regardless as a dehumidifier... it's not "cooling" just cycling. I will have to check the FSM to be sure.

I will read up on the ac settings. The air conditioner in my opinion hasn't worked "right" in a long time. I have been so frustrated with the radiator issue and now the fact that it was "rejected" at emissions due to two sensors not being active has me pulling my hair out

which sensors? It's an OBDII car, so whatever faults they found, they found.

The AC might just need a simple recharge, or, worst case, a new pressure sensor or something.

There is a way to read codes from the AC system... also, if the light above the AUTO button flashes, there is a code.
