Good Morning CGs!

Man was it a hot and muggy one yesterday. That heavy rain we had the other night was apparently so heavy it flooded much of Southwest Chicagoland. Made for a nasty day travelwise as well as weatherwise. My buddy's car was submerged in water in front of his house. He was surprised when I told him it would be totalled. Luckily it was an older car, but still sucks to have to go through the process and money is tight for everyone.

Should see some more heat, rain, and humidity today, oh joy!

I started putting the a/c clutch back together last night but only had a few minutes while RR#2 was riding his bike on the driveway. Got it reassembled but haven't put the belt back on or tested anything. Let's hope that the shaft seal is intact and I won't be doing a rebuild.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning

I have the mower tank empty and dry. Time to vacuum out the crap. The mower is already sold. I just don't want to send it out with crap in the tank. Besides, we know the guy who's buying it. Full day ...... everyday. My wife laid down this "There are so many things to be done" thing to which I expressed "There are only so many hours in a day". Of course, spending time here is a must.

Matt, the reason I didn't want to remove the tank is because the entire lawnmower is built around it.

Howdy! The weather geniuses say mostly cloudy, but the weather weenie seems less optimistic. We shall see. Meanwhile, we have to go to a outdoor wedding party down in Rochester, MN this afternoon. Hopefully umbrellas won't be mandatory.

Have a good day, yawlz!

STILL SUMMER IN THE NATIONS, THANK GOD FOR THE WIND, IT MAKES IT BEARABLE.

BECKHAM COUNTY HAS HAD A LITTLE RAIN AND IS LOOKING MARGINALLY BETTER. THERE IS SOME WATER IN THE PONDS AND THE WEEDS ARE GREEN, BUT THE GRASS IS MOSTLY GONE AND FOLKS ARE WONDERING IF IT WILL EVER COME BACK. THE PRICKLY PEAR IS FLOURISHING. WE DIDN'T SEE MANY DOVE FLYING, WHICH IS WORRISOME. I'D HATE TO HAVE ALL THE KIDS OUT THERE AND NOTHING TO SHOOT AT. WE SHALL SEE WHAT WE SHALL SEE.

Going to be a busy day here. I need to go to the lab for an x-ray, then there is a Studebaker / Packard show at Summit Racing, and finally cap off the day with some racing. Hard to believe the end of summer is right around the corner.

Geez Matt I'm glad it wasn't your friends new C7 sitting outside his house when it rained.....holy cow...It rained and was windy here last night but looks like only a 1/2 inch or so of rain...it was sooo humid here yesterday it felt like a weight was on your shoulders when you went outside...and then the sun would come out and make you go back inside.....and its worse where Tommy lives....but not Bill....

Today I will attempt to put on my new front splash guards I got for the GS. I got them thru ZIP but they are made by RPI whose whole shop burned down earlier this year. It took a month to get them but I didn't bitch much considering the circumstances....I will take some pics of the process. It's not that easy of an install...

Keep the shiny side up Guru's.....

The humidity today will be up a bit.........to prolly 14%

Looks like I might have to turn on the a/c for 2 or 3 hours by mid week.

Had to shut the bedroom window last nite, it was too cold.

Nothing going on here in Arkansas - but heat - we're in our hottest part of the summer supposedly - 100 degree and high humidity - heat warnings from the weather people. Vette is still broke, the bottom pulley is the one not turning - getting that looked at Monday night. I replaced another and put a new belt on it yesterday for nothing.

We used to float burned out light bulbs on the pond and then get way back and try to take them out with .22's...very hard to do when it was windy....which in Kansas was almost all the time.....probably against the law now anyway.....or environmentally incorrect....geez...

Looks like the light bulb trick would be fun with quarter sticks too. I would think people on the other side of the pond might not be to happy being in the line of fire with a 22. Shooting at and blowing up anything is generally a good time.

PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN PEOPLE IN KANSAS & WESTERN OKLAHOMA, RICOCHETS ARE NO BIG PROBLEM.

BLOWING THINGS UP IS FUN. I USED TO LOVE DEMO TRAINING, EXCEPT WHEN SOMEBODIES CHARGE DIDN'T GO OFF AND THE SAFETY OFFICER(ME)WOULD HAVE TO GO OUT AND DEAL WITH IT. I ALWAYS TOOK THE ONE WHO SET IT ALONG WITH ME FOR A PARTICIPATORY LEARNING EXPERIENCE. GREAT FOR TIGHTENING LOOSE SPHINCTERS.

Pissed at my home owners insurance. One claim in 15 years. Theft from my garage. $8000 in tools and a Safe. Western Mutual . My insurance will be canceled if I don't show proof of a monitored alarm and up my deductibles to $1000. Our local police after your 2nd alarm response fines you $50 after the third each response is $100. Guess why 5 years ago I had mine turned off. I paid Western Mutual about $550 dollars a year .
I am currently looking at AAA and other companies for quotes.

I feel better now

LOL

I thought quarter sticks were supposed to be used for fishing.
