In this world of confusion Labor Day has done slipped up on me. I have so much stuff to do I'm not really to concerned about the weekend. I have about 4 days of work lying in wait. Of course Sue has a couple of irons in the fire to further disrupt any good forward movement. If I sound like I'm whining ...... It's because I am.

Morning all....thunder rumbles and it looks like rain here in the next few minutes....does this mean the drought is over? Some places have had 10 inches of rain in the last week....that's a lot of water...

Today work on billing and a nice nap after lunch maybe...have got to mow the lawn but it keeps raining...its going to be like Matts lawn when he gets home from vaca.....big...real big.

Morning guys...It's Friday. First hour down. Very cool this morning, 55 when I got up. The last two days right about 6pm we've had a shower move through. Doesn't leave much rain, but a nice relief.

Yes, we are taking the 007 to KC this weekend, Marcus.

I booked a cruise.......for tomorrow.

Round trip is 4.2 miles.

But I get to go more than once.

Good Morning CGs!

Not too good of phone reception in the mountains here, but spotty enough to get online briefly. Enjoying the trip so far. Being 2 hours ahead of schedule, I was up two hours before the rest of civilization. That's OK, found a gym that opens at 5 am so I was there and had a fantastic workout.

getting ready for Big Red football....pity the small college team that will be fed to our lions tomorrow....as the 90K fans scream for more blood....college sports are so enjoyable....what fun....

Raining here, will for the next couple days - nothing much at the shop today - I showed up late, picked up a new battery for the Vette along with a harmonic balancer and bolt this morning, and hit the dollar store and beer store for things needed at the shop
The other gal worked on her 91 Mustang gt that's in pieces she has there, I put the battery on my car, had to chase down a new terminal bolt, remove the battery tray twice for dropping shit under there, then there's another vette on the frame machine a guy ran it into a ditch so there's some work to be done. Then the 65 Chevy restoration job - that frame came back from powder coating today and me and owner removed it from trailer and have it on jack stands. Now with all that done, one was on the John Deer 720 or whatever mowing the front and back lot, I was on the push mower doing the smaller spots and round up and another was on the weed eater with other places. Full day before the rain set in. I'll be back out there in the morning at 10 with my mekkie getting the balancer on and prayers please that;s all there is and I've not jacked up something else.
Am I the only moron that didn't know this was Labor Day weekend? I thought for some reason that mess was the end of September? And here everyone around here is saying now that "summer is over".. bullcrap - we have three more months of hot weather still to enjoy... geez..

How did the car run Tom?

Well, we made it to KC. The corvette performed flawlessly. Filled up in Junction City and figured the mileage....332 miles 12 gallons, 27.6, gauge in the car said 27.7, so it's pretty accurate. About a third of those miles were at 80-82mph. I will say that the Borlas have a little drone when I'm in 6th gear, and running about 60-65. Doesn't happen often, but occasionally I don't downshift and there it is......makes me wish for my Corsas. Other than the drone, I like the sound of them.
