jonszr1 post brings it home once again and as Bill's quote states "Every man dies but not every man lives". My life is more like to work on stuff and do the chores like I was dying. I have to mix it up a little more.

When I go the house should be pretty clean, the cars all washed and shiny, the lawns mowed and the pets all fed. I did the skydiving and Rocky mountain climbing but I ain't ever gonna ride no Fu Man Chu. I do have to work harder at having fun and I AM working on it. Some of the stuff I do is fun but it's disguised at work.

Morning guys.....Tommy, I think we all do stuff we like and disguise it as work, and complain about it occasionally. I hope that joneszr1 does all the things he can. prayers to him and his.

The rain that caused the game to be postponed continued through the night. This morning, it's cloudy and cool with chances of rain throughout the day. We might be driven in the rain going home. Not sure yet when we are headed that way, but it's 2 1/2 hours to Salina from here, Marcus, when we hit the road. If you are interested in meeting let me know and I'll text or call when we leave.

SIL is smoking ribs for lunch. They smell good already. Well, I got the word that there are a couple items that need my attention. I'll check back later. Have a great Labor Day gurus.

Jaguar has revealed the prototype of its continuation Lightweight E-Type – six of which will be built and sold.

Jaguar announced in May 2014 that it would create six continuation Lightweight E-Type vehicles, each built by Jaguar Heritage, part of Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Operations division.

Each of the six cars will be built to the specification of the last Lightweight E-Type delivered in 1964 and will be hand-crafted at a new Heritage facility located at the spiritual home of the E-Type, Browns Lane in Coventry, England. The cars will be sold as competition vehicles and all will be suitable for FIA homologation for historic motorsport purposes.

These six cars are the 'missing' six vehicles from the 'Special GT E-Type' project, which originally started in February 1963 with the objective of building 18 cars. Only 12 of the aluminum-bodied Lightweight E-Type vehicles were eventually built and the remaining six designated chassis numbers have lain dormant, until now. The six new cars will carry these unused Lightweight E-Type chassis numbers. A race winner in the hands of a variety of famous drivers during its competitive career, the car achieved worldwide fame, and today, original examples are highly sought after.

Greetings! Excellent sentiments to start the day. We got a bunch of rain overnight, and it looks like more is coming. Naturally it will be nothing but sunshine tomorrow.

I read an article in Autoweek about those Jags - how cool is that? Well it will be cool for 6 people with very deep pockets, anyway.

Enjoy your Labor Day, Gurus!

Now that's a Jag...I think Chevy should do that with the original Grand Sports that they were slated to build...oh the battles that could have been if they hadn't done that stupid racing ban....geez...

Very nice and clear here today.....got 60/100's of rain yesterday so I don't have to water anything today...the country side looks like its early June...very nice!

Tom don't know our plans yet but let me know when you leave and if I can I would like to see 007....I figure we could meet at the same exit....

At the end I think it's what we have done to help others to live a better life that matters, to give back to others our time and from what we have been blessed with. That and I think its very important that people know our word was our bond and that our integrity in all matters was never in question. Those are the only things we will take with us.....

Enjoy your day Guru's....

Can it really be true that today we enter the last third of 2014 already ?

There is a pumpkin crunch cake in the oven to be followed by batch of short ribs to be used as lunch for the rest of the week. Later today it will be burgers on the grill.

I just heard a strange noise outside, peeked out the window and across the street they are cutting branches out of a tree and grinding them up.

Everyone have a great holiday !

Well, we made it home a little before 9pm. Did get to meet up with Marcus in Salina. We spent about an hour talking and driving each others' Corvettes. Great to see you Marcus. I've got the orange monster on the lift and the bugs cleaned off the nose. She is sleeping comfortably now.
