Morning guys...The day is very gray and dark. Temps aren't bad, just dark and dreary. We are heading back pretty soon as I have a meeting this afternoon. Hopefully the weather holds out for the trip home.

Wow watching the news you guys on the east coast are getting nasty weather.

Was nice here yesterday - I took my stuff to a local lake and sat there in my flip flops in my beach chair with a cold one and enjoyed some 65 degree sunny weather after my shopping was over. Clouds started to roll in, then cousin called to come visit, headed home. She left then the one who gave me the deer came to pick up the antlers I saved for his son. We haven't really talked or seen one another since high school so we had a couple and talked about old things till around 1 am.. lots of memories. No nursing home today- she has a case of the shingles and told me to stay home. I've never had them and don't want 'em. Heard of a truck bed I'd like to go look at and need some stuff from the store I was unable to get at our brand new super huge new Kroger yesterday.

Hidey-ho! Didn't even make it to 9am this morning - maybe I'll make up the difference with a nap this afternoon. Was surprised to see grass outside today - the snow is almost gone with this "warm" spell we're having. That'll all end tomorrow, and the old snow will be replaced with new stuff. Meanwhile, I expect the lowly Viqueens will get smacked by the hated Pack today.

COOL & CLOUDY, CLEARING A LITTLE, MAY RAIN SOME MORE THIS AFTERNOON. WE GOT AN INCH AND A HALF OF SLOW RAIN YESTERDAY, THAT OUGHT TO DO SOME GOOD.
MAY DRIVE DOWN AND CHECK ON #2 GRANDDAUGHTER'S SHOTGUN TODAY. WE ARE HAVING A MASS BIRTHDAY PARTY T-DAY FOR SIX OF US WITH NOVEMBER- EARLY DECEMBER BIRTHDAYS AND I WANT HER TO HAVE IT THEN.

It would be dark and gloomy here if the sun was shining......people are out in the streets ready to march on Lincoln, they have pitchforks and long sticks that are burning on one end...you can't lose a game on Senior day when you had a two touchdown lead at half time........no loss is easy to take, especially in this State....

The Gophers are the real deal though......props to them and their coach....and so the drama begins but there is one game left at Iowa on Friday.....I can't even think about it right now......

Got some chores to do today and some naps.........better get started on the naps.........be careful out there Guru's.....

I don't think you have anything to worry about, Marcus - that was quite an aberration. The last time the Gophers beat the Huskers in back-to-back seasons was before I was born.

Yeah and I think they won a National Championship in 1960....They have Wisconsin next week I'm thinking...I will be rooting for the Gophers.....I hate the Badgers....

Well, I'm back home. Rained just enough to make the monster dirty. So, the first thing I had to do (after unloading) was clean it up. She's somewhat clean now, it was too cold to give it a thorough wash. Back on the lift, battery tender on and gas treatment in the tank. The seat heaters were really nice. When I put the tender on I looked at the clutch fluid and found it dark again, so I sucked out the old and replaced with fresh again. I think that's one of those jobs that I will do on a regular basis.

Got a meeting to go to in a little bit, so I'll check back later.

Alas, all good things must end. Vacation was a vacation. No phone, no friends, no family. Once again, viewing the poverty that many endure surely gives me a greater appreciation for the gifts I have been given and the gifts I am about to receive. Antigua, St Maarten, San Juan and Nassau were nice to visit. All were revisits except for Antigua. Met new people and had a great time. The casino comped me and Sue well, as well they should have for our substantial contribution to the cruise line gaming operations profits. We had a great time though. My ass is a little flatter (from seat time) and Sue's hands are a little cramped from chip exchanges. Weight gain was minimal and should be back to my regular weight within a few days. I'll have to look back through chat to catch up a little on guru activities.
