kinda old long nose Peterbilt 379......what a big truck should look like.......won't fit in the garage either....

Cummins ISX engine 475hp with a 13 speed road ranger tranny...3:43 rear gears so it will get out and go. The truck is a 2003 so the engine has no smog stuff on it and is worth a bunch because of that. Truckers hate smog stuff....

It has the American Class interior which is the best and more insulation also. Got air chairs on each side....and a decent stereo set up. I put on the 6 inch straight stacks and it really sounds good especially when running the Jake brake.....have to watch that going through towns....its really loud....everything is polished and up to snuff as all the gauges work....

Also bought a 50' Wilson grain trailer with a tag axle and along with the tag on the tractor should be able to gross 95,000 lbs......or about 1100 bushels of corn....

Have made lots of contacts over the years so have lots to haul with it when we get going. These are the only two pics I have now but will add some later...

I am all of a sudden overcome with the urge to hear some truck driving music.....

Yeah kind of.......we been hiring our liquid fertilizer mixes to be hauled for us but its been getting harder to get trucks each year in a timely manner. So there is a liquid trailer coming also but it is getting checked out to see what kind of shape its in.

This will give us year round income also and give the hired guys something to do in the off season so I can keep them on full time. People need full time employment not just seasonal if you want to keep decent help.

American Ag Transport LLC is the name of the business which I was advised to set up so the trucking would not overlap into other assets. Liability is a big factor in trucking......

That's a mans truck there.......probably a 220 Cummins and a 5x3 Tranny.....

that's a big rig... sweet look'n truck!

They may hate the emissions, but the cleaner diesel has been a good thing... lower NoX emissions, less acid rain... That can't be a bad thing.

But I do remember riding passenger in a B61, going up the Allegany mountain, watching the driver use the "restroom feature" (pulling the manual throttle, standing out on the fueltank, steering with his right hand, taking a wiz with his left).

I told Ultrawoman that I would get a truck with the big sleeper on it and we could tour the country in it.......and we could even bring the dog........she was not impressed......something about truck stop food.....

Bill those B model Mack's helped build this country back in the day......that's a good idea peeing outside like that........we always used a big cup and the trick was not.............nevermind........

That ought to haul some cabinets!

I ran a Mack B-61 back in the mid sixties, then moved up to the U and R models with Mack engines and 5x3 transmissions.
Then it got boring with the maxidyne engines and 5 speeds.
I also drove a Freightliner with a 4x4 behind a 350 Cummins.
Memeories, yep.

Takes a lot of torque to only run a 5 speed....I never could figure out how that worked....I spent time in both a Freightliner and a Pete cabover with 350 Cummins and 4X4's......

I learned on an old Ruan truck with a 318 Detroit and a 4x4....that was a treat....this Pete I just bought even has cruise control so we don't need a broomstick to hold the throttle down and ABS.....geez what next.....

first time the air ride cab started to tilt up straight on an on ramp was weird.
