Christmas headaches around here. Wife and I decided months ago not to do Xmas presents for exchange. She's getting an expensive remote starter, I got a toolbox. Case closed? Nope, the other night she starts complaining to me that *I* don't want to exchange gifts. Huh? So I had to hear about how nice it is to have a gift to open on Christmas. So far I've gotten her a gift card. Still need to get some candles and maybe car wash gift certificates. Ugh. When I'm right, I'm wrong, and when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Guess I should be used to it after more than 10 years together.

Congrats on your 10 plus years Matt......from a 30 year plus vet of the marraige dance......you always have to have a gift no matter what......the thing now to say is......I got you a gift already because you are the light of my life. Now you have to scramble around and get her something very nice. May I recommend some Channel Coco perfume or a nice Channel kit that includes lotions and emoluments to bring forth her beauty.....pricey but always welcome.

Do not buy her kitchen appliances or more stuff for your car......

Hmmmmm cloudy foggy and cold here today......getting real tired of this chit mon......anybody got any sunshine? Last night coming back from church I had a legit reason to run the fog lights on the Duramax......fog as thick as pea soup out there.....

I had a guy at church last night tell me he does his Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart at 2 am in the morning....that way there is no crowd and the shelves have all been restocked.......downside to that is its TWO AM IN THE MORNING....holy cow.......I can see his point though....

Morning guys...foggy here too. Temps right about freezing, so it'll be a little slick if I go out. I do my shopping on-line, at least the stuff I buy. A lot of my presents I make. Which, BTW, I need to get out to the shop today to finish them up.

WHEN BABY DAUGHTER WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL SHE AND HER FRIENDS WOULD GO TO WALMART AFTER MIDNIGHT TO OBSERVE THE STRANGE LIFE FORMS THAT WOULD APPEAR. MY SUGGESTION THAT THE CATEGORY MIGHT INCLUDE THOSE WHO WENT TO WALMART LATE AT NIGHT TO OBSERVE STRANGE LIFE FORMS GOT ME ONE OF THOSE "OH DADDY---" LOOKS THAT ALL FATHERS OF DAUGHTERS ARE FAMILIAR WITH.

From the FB picture it appears that she ran underneath something. Skinned the hood, like right down to the inner frame. Messed up the headlights. She appears to be OK, she posted pictures on FB and thanked the officer for giving her a ride home.

Good to know she'd OK.

C2 build update in C2 Tech today.

Vette is toast - more than just a hood. Felt like brakes locked up and I slid into the truck stopped in front of me.
hood slid off flipped over top of car and landed behind it. Both fenders, both headlights, one inner fender, back end sknt from hood fling over, all front end stuff inside such as fans, radiator, air tube, MAF, etc plus the throttle body assembly went through the intake. Left a huge hole. Engine kept running if you'll believe that, coolant recovery tank too not sure what else but might be a total.
I have cried and beeen worried about insurance and just been a wreck myself all day. Not cause the car is hurt - wasn't that attached to that one but just the whole mess. It's nearly two years to the day this happened to me in the red Ford, then two months later the GMC. This will make 3 at faults for me in two years. I'm a jacked up mess emotionally - physically I am fine..
It will be a wait and see on the insurance. If they total and pay me good I have a plan, assuming they keep me as a customer. If it gets fixed and I get a good amount, well... not sure there - have been offered some suggestions. I'll see when the chips fall. I'm very worried about the insurance and DL right now...

Sorry for your concerns, Letty. Hopefully it will all work out. No doubt there will be some planning to do on your part. Weigh your options. You're alive so there may be some concessions to be made. Better to be alive and make less than preferential choices than the alternative of having no choices to make at all. Things getting better mojo sent.
