Good Morning CGs!

After work last night I stopped over at the neighbors' house. They had a bday party for the boy who is the same age as RR#1. It was a nice time. Got out of there later than I would have liked, though, and the kids were overtired and obnoxious (compared to their regular state....just obnoxious). Kids had fun, though.

Wife and I plan on seeing that movie American Sniper tomorrow. I have heard it is very good. Has anyone seen it yet?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning.

Woke to cool temperatures this morning bordering in the high 40's. Highs expected in the low 70's throughout the week with plenty of sunshine. I don't know if I've mentioned this before but I love the Florida winters. We are supposed to have some visitors over this afternoon. Sue mentioned something about a BBQ. Might could be a lie low kinda day. That would be nice though I had several lie low days already this past week because I'm not feeling quite up to par. Sinus pressure. Seize the day before the day seizes you.

SEMI-SUNNY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, WE'RE OFF TO OKMULGEE FOR #3 GRANDDAUGHTER'S BAPTISM. THE ARKIES AND OKC KIDS ARE GOING TO BE THERE, A NOISY TIME TO BE HAD BY ALL, NO DOUBT.

AND IN THE NEWS: A ROBBERY GONE RIGHT

Tulsa Police received a call of an armed robbery Tuesday night at the Ryan's Convenience Store near 21st and Mingo.
The clerk told police that three masked men entered the store armed with handguns. Police say the clerk pulled out his semi-automatic pistol and shot two of the three suspects.
One of the robbery suspects, a 25-30 year old male, was killed instantly and another later died at the hospital. Police say the third suspect fled the scene.

THE REMAINING ROBBER & THE WHEEL MAN WERE CHARGED WITH FELONY MURDER. THE CLERK WAS EXONERATED, BUT WILL BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM TWO WEEKS OF TARGET PRACTICE.

I would say that more of that happening would be a serious deterrent to crime....but 2 out of 3 isn't all bad....

Got back late from Kansas after spending the day with Ma....we had some good talks.....she is so busy with stuff to do that it would make me tired....she is always giving me some strange supplement pills to take and I usually just bring them home and put them in a drawer with all the rest......I got to thinking on the way home that she is 92 and going like she is in her 70's.....maybe I should take a better look at what those pills are......

Today I am working on the GS so I can have it ready to roll when a nice day comes up every now and then as we move closer to the vernal equinox.....oh yeah and some naps...

Gris someday I would like to come down to meet you....you seem like someone I would really enjoy having a N/A beer with.........as are the rest of the Guru's.......hopefully will meet a few more in Florida this spring.....

Have an enjoyable day doing what you do Guru's.....

Hahahaha! And I doubt Tom can help with that :-P

We got about 1/8 inch of snow overnight, not sure why it bothered. Glad to hear your mom is doing so well, Marcus. My MIL is going plenty strong at 81, too.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Oh, one note from driving the Corvette last night.....I love the new shifter and no CAGS. So much easier to shiftand never a problem going from 1 to 2.

Hope all you Gurus had a good weekend - save for loud grandkids and puddles where they shouldn't be.
I want a do-over for mine - stressy week followed by some really hurt feelings by someone, still haven't found a car, tried for some quiet time at the nearby lake yesterday and a freak showed up to stalk the scene - nursing home one is sick again, ended up somewhere else I should not have been last night till way past my bedtime - tired now and couldn't get a nap in - geez -
And, just went to drink from my freshly opened water bottle and there's a lady bug in there - where'd he come from?
On a side bar - any opinions of Vizio televisions? Found a 50" 240hz at best buy for 599 which was 799 - it's a smart tv - I can keep my cable's internet and dump their tv service and use this thing instead viewing hulu, amazon prime, etc. That should save me 100 a month.

We bought a 47" Vizio smart TV a little over a year ago - it's been good so far. The only complaint I have, and it might be the same with all "smart" TV's, is that it takes a little while to "boot up". Haven't done much with the "smart" part of it, other than watching a few YouTube and Netflix videos. Best of luck on the other fronts!

I have a 32 and a 60 inch Vizio and would buy another.

The less expensive smart stuff doesn't offer as many choices as cable. The WiFi streaming works good though,
