Someone feel free to move this to where it ought to go....
Rain due for a week here so came home and gave this thing it's first bath. Needs four more with a fire hose and brillo pad. It's previous owner didn't do much for it but drive it. Tailpipes are nasty, it needs some things. At about 1700 miles he ran into something with passenger side, he fixed wheel and mess but left the bumper and didn't replace fog light. Those are minor things I can get done at work at the body shop here and there. Like I mentioned earlier, this thing was driven and it's not perfect but it came to me cheap enough. Same price as I was looking at 05-08s for. It can be my little pet or as one person told me the equivalent of a pregnant teenager at home lol.... and yes there are a couple pieces of tape on my rear plate to hold it on there! Don't laugh! Long story...
I wanted to get it properly cleaned, buffed and all that and taken somewhere pretty for some 'baby pics' but with our weather that won't happen for a week or two. My birthday is coming up so this is my present to myself I suppose. Midlife crisis? If so it started when I was 25 as I got my first one then...This is now my fourth.

I really like that car Letty, course I'm somewhat swayed.......The steering wheel is cool as is the spoiler across the back. Also the red stitching...is that what came on that commemorative stock or is that a 4LT option I wonder.......and the Chrome wheels are just right on the dark paint.....

The stuff to fix will be fun to help it back to pristine condition.....well bought.....

The suede inserts and red are part of the Centennial. Also suede should be on the steering wheel as well as console but mine are GS ones. I'm guessing either the owner didn't want suede in those areas due to wear and changed them or ordered it that way? They usually come with black wheels too but my code shows the chrome. Who knows. He also peeled off the 100 stickers on the posts. From reading over at the "other" place apparently a lot of peeps did that. I can still see where they were. My car according to my invoice is the 3LT. Someone also stuck some ghetto carbon door trim things in red on the doors too. Those will be coming off

Sweet ride, Letty.

So the RPO codes show chrome wheels, not the black ones that were standard?

One of your cars brothers is here in town, except for the black wheels.

My code shows the chrome. I thought they all came with black. Something I read on the c6registry said "new for 2012" was black... either way I used to prefer black wheels on black cars but I'm liking these the more I look at them. I also found another 2012 3LT for sale that had the chromes.

Letty, she is going to look spectacular when you get finished. And the chrome rims really look right against the black.

Looks really good, Letty.

From the 2012 Corvette Ordering Guide (Lord help me):

"ZLC Chevrolet Centennial Special Edition, includes exterior color (58U) Carbon Flash Metallic and Chevrolet Centennial Black wheels. 3LT requires (F55) Magnetic Selective Ride Control, (J6F) Red calipers, (193) Ebony interior and (RUM) Chevrolet Centennial Black Grand Sport wheels."

However,

"PYE Wheels, Grand Sport chrome aluminum, 18" x 9.5" (45.7 cm x 24.1 cm) front and 19" x 12" (48.3 cm x 30.48 cm) rear" were explicitly available with ZLC (other wheels, such as the PYD competition gray, were not allowed)

The black Grand Sport wheels are kind of weird when you look at all the Centennials — they were the only Centennial wheels not to get the red stripe: narrowbody, Z06, and ZR1 all did. We rock the Z06/ZR1 style RUR "cup" wheels with our summer tires.

You can grab a PDF of the 2012 Corvette brochure here.

Ivelis and I like the suede steering wheel, but it is showing some signs of wear after 37,000 miles. Last time I checked, it was about $400 to get a replacement with the paddle shifters.

How many miles on yours?

I have the ZLC with PYE - guessing owner must've changed wheel and console due to wear issues. I'd like to change them back although I don't dislike the stuff that's in there really. Wasn't a big fan of the jake stuff, either but there's a mat under my hood with that logo like what's on the floor mats as well as on the outside mirrors. Was one on the rearview but was taken off. Miles? Let's just say PLENTY lol....

Don't be cagey on the miles... the LS3 is a durable engine, and the 6sp auto has proven reliable.

It sounds like you got a smoke'n deal.

Fix the cosmetics and you could flip it for a quick $5k profit, miles be damned.

In short, you scored, babe...

Oh, Seafoam is great for cleaning exhaust tips.

I got enough on here that most of you would run like hell the other direction like your ass was on fire lol
then I turned around and put another 1000 on it in three days - tight car handles well ran out great
but yes, needs some tlc, and isn't perfect but still is booking for more than I paid even with it's issues so that makes me happy so far.
