Morning guys... I'm officially retired, I checked out about 15 minutes ago.

Woke up early to a little rain shower, it's sunny right now, but supposed to have a chance for rain most of the day.

A couple of high school teachers came by the house yesterday and gave me a gift card to Home Depot from the high school staff. Said that they didn't really have time to get something for me by the faculty dinner last week. Even if it was an afterthought, it was gratifying to know that they were truly grateful for my service.

Rained like hell here today, they say were getting 3" of it. Ghetto pool filled and cleaned and then the hose broke to the pump and soaked me. No replacement in sight last night.
Boss just came in here and informed me that I'm moving into the larger office across the hall and he's hooking me up with about $5k worth of Imac with 27" retina monitor, biggest baddest processor they have an all the goodies plus two other monitors so I'll have three now. And there's a killer stereo system hidden in the cabinet over there that would outfit a small stadium...

Today is a good news/bad news day. My mechanic told me they found the problem on the 91. A fusible link that was hanging by a thread. The ecm and ccm tested out to be showing connection. The defective fusible link has something to do with the pcm, injectors and fuel pump. Good news is few parts. Just labor. Now the bad news. State Farm doesn't want to insure the buyer of our rental house due to the age of the roof. We are selling the house as is. That means we won't fork over all the money and give the buyer a new roof. Not for the price we sold it for. We might entertain whatever repairs that would make it acceptable to the insurance company, like replace any wood and metal decay and a add a sealing coat. I would be willing to split a new roof 50/50 with the buyer but Sue is less than enthusiastic about that proposal. We'll see. All I know is that is gonna cost us $$$$. Closing was supposed to be in a couple of days from now. Looks like a costly delay is forthcoming.
