I have a rear hatch weatherstrip that's been new in a box since maybe 2008. It was purchased from one of the better manufacturers at the time, but I don't remember which one it was.

The rules for classifieds state a price must be given, and a quick google search showed prices in the $80 range, so I'm hoping my asking price is fair. If not, let me know.

The part is currently in a sealed box, but if there is a real need for me to open it up, I can.

I used to be a moderator on this site and a heavy post whore many moons ago. So hopefully someone can vouch for my trustworthiness. Or, more likely flame me with great style. ;)

Thanks!

Are you sure it's not a Mustang hatch? Or an FJ Cruiser hatch?

You should post what manufacturer it is, makes a difference.

Good luck, Chris.

How did I know you would be the one to bust my chops? ;)

OK. Maybe I'll open it up and get a pic later today.

Letty's new toy sure has me wanting a Vette again.
Maybe in a couple more years I can swing a C6 GS.

I really do miss the Mustang, though.

Can't really say I miss the C4. I still love them when I see them, but I just couldn't "become one" with that car, for some reason.

I suspect, to be honest, that the C4 is something of an 'acquired taste'. It is an interesting mix of old school and modern tech. As such, it never totally warms up to you, you have to warm up to it. And it if leaves you feeling a little unsure, there you have it.

It also depends on the car in question. You had a 6spd '93 Anniversary... A rather rare car in the first place, and you have a subset of that rare car. I would have to say that you became concerned that the car should be more preserved than driven... and perhaps you were right...

For whatever the case... a more mass produced Vette would have suited you better. A ZR1 or 96 GS would have crippled you.

Absolutely true, Andy. I should have held out for a Yellow LT4.

Plus now that I'm about 70 pounds lighter, egress would be easier...

Anyway... Here's a pic of the part. I see no markings.

I know I did my homework before buying.

There were two recommended vendors for weatherstripping, as I recall, and some to avoid. This is one of the good ones.

For whatever that is worth.

You can use photobucket or it has to be under a certain size to upload.

Hiya, Chris! I'd buy it if I didn't already have one - good luck with your sale!

Hey Chris! Good to read ya. I have 90 coupe I can use it on. Are they year specific or just gen specific. I've been meaning to buy one for the past 13 years. I'll buy it if it's good for a 90. Check/Paypal/Bitcoins?
