Not a far throw from my 85 ford LTD lx police car. Fox body, posi. 165hp v8. Its amusing to read the options offered way back when.

My friend in college 10 yrs ago after I got the vette had a 85 Deville. It had everything feature the loaded vette did plus auto leveling suspension. Nowadays it all seems like a teenagers hand me down.

luxury was thick padded velour and leathers with power stuff for many many years.

AM/FM/8 track or cassette... concert sound... self leveling (Caddy start that in the 60's)... quiet ride... power windows/doors/seats/sunroof... the perception of quality.

still not a bad way to ooze down the highway.

My daddy had a 63 T-Bird convertible red/red/white top.

I had a 66 Landau coupe silver/red guts

My ex-fil had a 73 blue/blue coupe that was a land barge

I liked the older style birds personally. Sure you only got 6 mpg but you loved it.

Use to own an '83 Fleetwood

If it was for the engine, 4.1l, I'd still have it.

Thing was, that was kind of the truth ...
