Morning guys....It's Monday and we had a good storm last night, knocked electricity out two different times. Good thing for battery backup systems on the alarm. We got a little over a half inch from the storm.

Back to the rectory for a couple items today, then home to work on things here.

Going to be hot again.

Dakiya!

Looks like a couple of hot ones here too - heat index will be around 100 today and tomorrow. And 100% chance of rain tomorrow, will be like it's raining bath water.

Keep cool, yawlz!

Heat index 102 here today - temp 96 in the shop. Will be glad to see the other job tomorrow with the air conditioned office...
Thought I liked C3s till I just got involved in taking bumper off a piece of junk one - changed my mind.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and start to their week.
Bout to be on the hunt for shocks for the GS - any recommendations? Have the selective ride stuff.
Good things going well with the eye.. makes mine hurt thinking bout that...
Good day everyone...

Good Afternoon CGs!

Hot here as well, just took the kids in the pool for a little over an hour. Getting ready for a workout and they are at the library with the wife.

Went back to the new back cracker today for my follow up and discussion about the xrays. Looking at my spine it is really messed up...lol. He showed me some stuff the previous doctor didn't. He thinks I herniated a disk a few years ago when I initially hurt my back. Makes sense. He said there's nothing we can do now about it other than treat the whole back to get it in better health. I agree. I like this doctor more than my last one. Their office incorporates newer technology, rehab, adjustment, and soft tissue care as well. I got another 15 minutes on the hydromassage bed along with my adjustment. Another nice perk is this office is 5 minutes away (not 30 minutes) and he's only charging me $25 a visit instead of $45. No complaints there.

Recovery mojo for Brian.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Worked most of the morning at the rectory. Got a new light fixture hung and some wiring run for another light and got it hung. Then came home and started working on some doors for a lawn building. Bought all the materials yesterday and started the 2 x 4 frame before lunch. After lunch I went and got the two grandsons to help out. They worked really well this afternoon and we got the doors both done. It was hot in the shop temps about 92 in the shop, 102 outside.

....VB....what makes you think the F55 ride control shocks are bad? They should last several 100K miles.......some oil film on them does not mean they are bad. Plus the damn things cost like 600 bucks a pop......

Marcus is right, those shocks should last a long time and lots of miles.

oil film....
thought that meant they were leaking.....

all I found on Ecklers was the Bilstein with the Z51 selective ride and they were $120 each... that didn't sound right since was already told they were much more than that.
Someone else also told me mine were leaking. I thought these things were supposed to last way longer too. Another friend had one that had to have his replaced already as well.

I will do some research but the shocks were designed to last the life of the car......I do know that the oil film does not always mean the shock has failed. If the oil film when wiped off will attract to a strong magnet then the magnetic material inside the shock is getting out and that is a fail.......

On my 10 GS the F55 option was not available which is strange to me as they offered them on the base models. I hear when working correctly they really smooth out the ride when in tour mode.......My car will let you know when you go over an expansion joint......

I have mine in sport mode right now and damn...
I could try tour mode and see just never changed it
I think that 96 I had was the smoothest riding Vette of the four I had. The 87 was the absolute worst

And why did that post a half dozen times up there???
