Been doing all the pre vacation prep. Cutting grass, cleaning pond and all the other routine crap so it won't be out of control when I get back. Sue's secretary's father is having some heart problems and goes under the knife on Monday. The nursery will be closed all week since Sue will be on the cruise and her girl will be caring for her dad. The guys will be cleaning up the place while we are gone. Sue hates closing the nursery. It's hard to get it through her head that "Shit Happens" and sometimes it'll just have to be closed. The secretary was caring for our animals while we were gone but we had to enlist sonny-boy to fill the void. He's going to school right now for pretty intense, quick paced certification courses. One right behind the other till December. Looks like no more vacations for awhile after this. I told wifey (and she doesn't care for it) that we may have to take separate vacations so someone is here while the other is gone. That goes over badly every time I bring it up. I don't feel the need to be stuck here if we don't have to be. It's the old "You want to do that without me?" syndrome.  |

Morning guys....cool this morning to start the day. Going to be pretty nice today, except for the wind is supposed to kick up a bit.
Got some things to do in the shop,but we are headed to the "city" for things as Rosie has to work tomorrow and there are things Saturday we have to be here for, and Sunday we are leaving for the mountains. That's part of the problem with owning a business, Tommy, or being self-employed, you ain't there, nothing gets done. Good help is hard to find and trust. So when your right hand person is out, things come to a halt. |

Good morning Guru's......up early...have a computer guy coming to work on Uwomans computer.......just routine stuff....but we are not like most of you who can make these damn things walk and talk......I only like them when the things are working like they are supposed to.....
All of Nebraska is in a state of unease this morning as one of our top receivers is out for 6 to 8 weeks with a foot injury......he is also our punt returner and is good for 7 to 14 points a game.......it is not good.....the coffee shops are bummed this morning...... It's a brisk invigorating 51 degrees again this morning.....almost like a mountain morning......very nice! Gotta go now.......check back later......keep the faith Guru's..... |

Rain has moved out, woke up to a beautiful day - finally caught up on some sleep. Feel out on the couch last night, BF walked in with me a nice bottle of bourbon to relax me and found me snoring on the sofa. Nutz. Cooked us dinner and I ducked out and went to bed. Ever sleep so hard when you wake up your face is still numb and you don't think you've moved all night? I need a week's worth of that. I get out of the dinner cooking duty tonight. He is swapping out dash in something tonight somewhere so when I get out of the office I'm heading home and going straight to sleep.
Off topic but y'all see that mess with the Subway dude and kiddie porn? WTF? What's the world coming to? |

Sheesh, I was so busy this morning I never dropped by. Just got done mowing the estate - I could've used a baling attachment, I think it grew a foot since Saturday. That '69 Z is a beauty, indeed - looks like new!
P.S. - mojo to your receiver, Marcus - I hope he makes a full recovery......next spring ;-) |

@Brad.......I think we play up at your house this year......the last time we were there your Gophers were very rude to us and kick our asses.....Or was that Wisconsin.......I lose track......He is supposed to be healed by the time the Big 10 games start.......all the medical resources we can muster are being poured into that kids foot right now......money is no object here.....what ever it takes.........
