Yeah it was 47 degrees out this morning.......that's a bit nippy for August....up to high 70's today. Yesterday it only got to 72......very nice for us though.....

Today we make final irrigation decisions....we did not get the big rain we wanted so more irrigation will be needed....

Getting the little red car ready for a roadtrip. We will be heading Delaware way on Wednesday. Got the oil changed today then laid on a good coat of wax. Had some nasty waterspots that I had to clay bar. But now, and this sounds so sacrilegious, she is shining like the top of the Chrysler Building.

Hey guys...up fairly early, but an update meeting for owners (really trying to sell us more time). We did get some good information, then off to the golf course where I played 18 and Rosie road along with me. I tired now and resting Rosie is headed to the "rec center". Sounds like we are the high temp today, it was 84 when we came off the golf course, just a beautiful day.

....Yeah....but what did you shoot...? or was it an 84?

Last week, I took my grandchildren to a restaurant. My six-year old grandson asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more
if Grandpa gets us ice cream for dessert. And liberty and justice for all! Amen!"

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!"

Hearing this, my grandson burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?"

As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job, and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table.

He winked at my grandson and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer."

"Really?" my grandson asked.

"Cross my heart," the man replied. Then, in a theatrical whisper he added,
(nodding toward the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."

Naturally, I bought my grandchildren ice cream at the end of the meal.

My grandson stared at his for a moment, and then did something I will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and, without a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Shove it up your ass you grouchy old bitch! "

Good evening gang.

Been awhile since I checked in. I'm enjoying the cooler temps of late. I found out why my heat tape didn't work so well last yr. It turned out that I had a broken wire in the control unit. So I soldered it back and with luck it will be good to go this year. The last thing to do is finish wrapping it all up.

Had to replace the master cylinder in the vette again. seems like the new blew the seal out right away. The other problem I have is I think I have an intermittent clutch switch. Seems when the clutch is pushed in I get nodda nothing zilch for power to the starter. Push it a few times and it will work for a while then quite again. So looks like I have some trouble shooting to do.

Gris that is a great little story there. Would have been nice to see the look on the old bag.
