Good Morning CGs!

So I got the remaining plugs out yesterday and the cylinder walls look ok as far as I can tell. I wasn't able to do the compression test due to the header interference. I am going to see if I can get a 45* adapter to screw on to put the hose out of the way. We'll see.

Still experiencing fall weather here. I don't mind it, the wife wants it a little warmer during the day. This means it's officially time to close the pool. It won't warm up again anywhere close to what it was. I have to give it a good vacuuming and hypershock it get it ready for winter. I have to order a new cover, too. They only last a year or two and then you throw them out. Junk.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Haxa'jua!

Decent day on tap here. A friend is also thinking about closing his pool for the season - lots of work. I have decided it is good to know someone with a pool.

Have a good day, all!

Good morning fellow travelers......I have been hearing from farmers that the El Nino event is supposed to be brutal this fall...with tons of rain and early snows......great! Time to start looking for winter quarters down in Phoenix l say....

Still waiting on car parts......how long has this been going on now......?

Every pivot in the State is running right now.....every one of them pumping from 600 to 900 gallons per minute......that's a lot of water.....

I ONCE ASTONISHED A REAL ESTATE BY TELLING HER I WOULD EXPECT A $5K PRICE CUT ON ON ANY HOUSE WITH A POOL. A CLASSIC WHITE ELEPHANT, IMHO

Morning guys....I'm getting used to the time change. Rosie fixed bacon and eggs for breakfast and now I'm waiting for it to warm up some before I go to the golf course. Supposed to only be in the 60's today and it's pretty cloudy. We are going to the hot springs tonight that should be nice.

We've heard the same thing Marcus, lots of rain and early/lots of snow this winter. We need the rain to recharge our aquifers, so bring it on.

Looks like it's going to be too cool for a while to play golf, so we decided to take a drive instead.

Made the drive down to Chama, NM. It's about 40 miles, we took our time, so it took about an hour. We have friends who have a place down there, and they have told us numerous times we ought to go there and see the place. Well, with the weather not conducive to playing golf, we decided to drive down and check it out. It was a really pretty drive in spite of the weather. It is an time town dating back to the old gold rush days. Their cry to fame is the narrow gauge railway that they still have running with steam locomotives. We stopped and walked around the old depot which has been converted to museum and still working as a depot for the tourists to ride the train.

The coal loading station and the water tower required for the trains to run.

Here's a Locomotive warming up. Notice the smoke coming out of the stack.

Here's why they call them 'narrow gauge'

You know what this car is for? (I do, first one I've seen in person)

Oh, when we went out to the car to leave this morning, the people in the next unit (probably a little older than us) were sitting out in front having their coffee, one of the men was out looking at his car (Honda Passport, I think), the two ladies were sitting under the porch and when they saw me (and Rosie), they said "We were wondering when you were going to leave." Me, "OH?" "Yea we hear your car every morning and we were just waiting for you to start it up." Me, quite embarrassed, "I'm so sorry." They then said "Oh NO, we love the sound of your car...and the color too! We just like the car really." Me, "Well, thank you very much, we really like it too."

This evening Rosie and I went to the hot springs. A beautiful evening to do that. Even started raining on us a bit. We hopped from pools that were 99 to 108 degrees. There are 20 or so pools, different sizes and temperatures. Very relaxing and therapeutic. Even dipped into the San Juan river which was about 60 degrees. THAT was refreshing!
