Good Morning CGs!

I've decided that I've been overindulging in the "extra helpings of dinner" area. I'd like to drop about 6-8 pounds. I won't go on a diet, per se, just cut out the packaged foods and oversized plates. Shouldn't take too long to reach my goal. I just don't like walking around hungry

No update on the Vette, although I did pick up the headers yesterday. Didn't have a chance to cut off the bubble wrap, it's probably better to leave it on, anyway.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys.....awoke to the girls playing in the front room, about a half hour before my usual wake up time. They will ride the bus to school and then we will do some errands. The girls still don't know about their other grandpa. #3 doesn't want them to know until after school today.

Dropping a few pounds used to be pretty easy. Not so much anymore.

Ha tu nda kahaman s'ennu!

The thermometer on the Vette said it was a blistering 43 degrees this morning, and they're saying 39 overnight tonight. But it's sunny, and should be a decent day. Hopefully the Twinkies can dispatch the Royals this weekend - either way, it's a nice change of pace to see them semi-relevant this late in the season.

Enjoy your Friday, Gurus!

Daytime high 80's for the next week with sunny skies. I go back and forth with my weight all year. 205 at New Years 195 at the 4th of July. You picked a bad time of year to try and lose weight Matt. Wait till after Easter.

"A husband and wife are shopping in their local Wally World. The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in the cart. "What do you think you're doing?" asks the wife. "They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans" he replies. "Put them back, we can't afford them", demands the wife. They carry on with their shopping. A few aisles farther on, the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.
"What do you think you're doing?" asks the husband. "It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful," replies the wife. Her husband retorts, "So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price."

That's him face down on Aisle 5."

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL MORNING IN THE NATIONS, A COOL 50 DEGREES AND SUNNY. THE CHEROKEES DO LOVE FALL AND SO DO I.

IN MY ONLY DIETING EXPERIENCE, I SHRUNK TWO BELT NOTCHES BY EATING BACON & EGGS FOR BREAKFAST, SKIPPING DINNER, AND LIMITING SUPPER TO ONE PLATE FULL. SNACKS VERBOTEN. I'M CONVINCED IT'S NOT WHAT YOU EAT THAT MATTERS BUT SIMPLY HOW MUCH.

Pouring rain all day.

I wanted to get to my buddies and finish up my 16v conversation on the race car but not working in a down pour.

Hope this hurricane and bad weather is past us by Thursday. Supposed to be testing the car Thursday night and points race is on Saturday.

All of the Gurus on the east coast in its path take care and brace yourselves.

Well the grands too the news pretty well. The 8 year old not doing as well as the 5 year old. Not sure that they truly understand yet. These grand parents only I've a few blocks away,so they see them more than we get to.

Came over to the other daughter's house and waited for #1 granddaughter to come home from school. She's a sophomore and worked really hard this summer and bought a 2005 VW Beetle. When we saw it late summer I told her I would bring my detailing stuff and polish it up. So that's what I did. It's black, so it really responded to a good detailing. I worked on it for about three hours (sun started going down). It's not perfect, but it looks pretty darn good. GD is tickled, and daughter and SIL are pretty impressed as well. SIL was a little jealous, as I did daughter's car when she was out in August, and now GD's car, so this evening while they went to watch GD #2 soccer game, I did a quick wash (it wasn't very dirty) and spent about an hour clay barring it and applying a coat of Rejex. Hopefully he'll be surprised when they get back.

Listening to the Royals/Twins game. No offense, Brad, but I hope we can pull this off. 1-1 right now.
