Good Morning CGs!

So the tire price at Costco turned out to be incorrect. They didn't put the OTD price on the tires, so you still needed to add $15/tire mounting and tax. Oh well. I have one more guy that I know at a different Discount that I'm going to call today to see what he can do for me.

The cold is starting to move in. We should expect snow this weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

GMCG's

I have to schedule a tech to come out and trouble shoot the new ice maker. Something got knocked out of whack during the shipping. I' don't want to send it back because I don't want to pay the freight charges. Buying local has it's advantages. The ice maker has a 3 year onsite full warranty so I'll exercise that. Have to run the Silverado by the shop for a couple of quick tweaks. Full day ahead ......... full steam ahead .... Lost a full day yesterday trying to figure out the friggin ice machine issue. Finally gave up. Call in the support. We'll be sharing Thanksgiving with members of a family in The Miccosukee tribe of Indians at the casino banquet hall. As long time friends they invited all 31 of our party to join them at their dinner. One of the women is the ex wife of my BIL and the rest are members of her family. It was her sister that invited us and the wishes of the matriarch, Mary to join them. A true traditional Thanksgiving is in store and it's an honor.

K’ähmänt hozo!

Cold here and the wind was whipping all night. Meanwhile, the week is almost over and I don't have much to show for it.

Very cool Thanksgiving, Tommy!

Have a good day, all!

It's cooler here, high of only 58 today but with the sun out and no breezes it's nice outside. And I'm inside in my "cave" they call it. Doing some photoshop work for the coffee house dude next door. He's about to open his third store here in town and is getting serious with logos, website and copyrights on logos and what not. Have some on site photos of people in the drive through having to clean up images, change out backgrounds of buildings and add nicer shots in there, stuff like that. This one photo I have four hours into. He has 13 for me to work on. Good stuff he has over there and roasts his own beans, good Christian man. Whole group of nice folks.
Tommy your holiday dinner sounds like quite the honor. Enjoy!

The ice machine tech came out. There is no charge to me as long as it's not installer error. Well zippy do da day .... It was installer error. Thanks to the vulcan freight company that sent all the internal accessories all over the place during transit, especially the stainless steel tray that the ice cubes slide out on .... Due to my improper installation of the tray, some water was dripping out into the storage bin which created a shortage of water in the ice processing water circulation area. So..... the machine would not make ice. They positioned the tray properly, checked out the whole machine due to my insistence that something else MUST be wrong with it. Nope, nothing else wrong. The machine started kicking out ice. Nothing comes on the set up instructions that tells you where things go. Only put on the legs, connect the drain hose, connect the water, level the machine, secure it to the wall and turn it on. Simple, as long as nothing is out of place inside. Funny thing was they just came from another call that was 5 minutes away from my place with the exact same issue. They both laughed when they saw what it was. The charge for the visit for two techs. $75 ...... A steal really. I tipped them another $5 each for good measure. At least they can pick up a snack on the way home. I pummeled them with questions which they both gladly answered plus they stayed around for a half hour till the first tray of cubes fell. Good guys, even though I had to pick up the tab. I did get at least $85 worth of valuable information out of them. They were there for about an hour. Got a couple of issues on Sue's Silverado resolved. Went to my dermatologist for my semi annual skin cancer screening. Nothing had to be frozen off. So far a productive day. I've been thinking about how productive a nap might be. I really shouldn't. I have too many damned things to do that have been put off because of work at the nursery. Just had a cup o'joe. Maybe that will help me make it through the rest of the day.
