Good Morning CGs!

Happy Friday to everyone. Can't wait for the weekend. It is supposed to start snowing tonight. They say the ground is so warm it will melt at first, but we should see accumulations of 4-8 inches on Saturday. Can't wait...

FIL's snowblower is sitting in my garage right now. Needs the carb repaired/replaced. I got it running last year but just barely. Last night I went to HF and bought the large ultrasonic cleaner. It gets good reviews for fixing things like that. Remove the carb, drop in cleaning solution, voila. It cleans the inside passages. I also need to repair my BIL's carb on his snowblower and the neighbor's generator. I could have used it multiple times in the past. I know it will come in handy.

Last night I scored some almost brand new snow tires on CL for cheap. The rims were from an older Audi so the offset won't fit, but the tires were worth more than I paid for the package. I'll have another set of rims that I'm trying to look at, also from CL. Then I'll be set for winter.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Mɨn apma nandinya!

Ahhhh, Friday is here! I have something like 5 hours of meetings today, what a delightful way to end the week. Last Saturday we had a high of 56, and tomorrow it will be 28 - I hope that is not the beginning of a pattern.

Interesting about the ultrasonic cleaner, Matt! I wonder if those are made by the same companies who make the crappy gas.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Thousands of uses. It scours, it shakes, makes batter in seconds ...... Act now and we'll give you two magnetic holding trays and a flashlight so you can even work in the dark .... But wait, for the next 50 callers .... a FREE measuring tape. All this for the same $19.99. Pay only shipping and handling for the additional FREE items .....

Let the bullshit begin .... My coffee is starting to work .

WHAT EVIL HAVE YOU DONE TO DESERVE THIS? MAYBE IN A PREVIOUS INCARNATION---

SUNNY, COLD, AND WINDY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. NEVER DID GET THE LEAVES BLOWN OFF THE PATIOS, WIND KEPT BLOWING THEM BACK :-0 NOW I'VE GOT TO PREPARE FOR A HARD FREEZE TOMORROW NIGHT: DRAIN GARDEN HOSES, BRING IN ALL DARLING WIFE'S PLANTS, TURN OFF OUTSIDE WATER. WINTER IS UPON THE CHEROKEES, AND ME TOO.

I'LL BE MAKING A RUN TO FAYETTEVILLE TOMORROW FOR #2 GRANDDAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY AND TO WATCH #5 GRANDSON PLAY BASKET BALL. HOPE THE WEATHER COOPERATES SO I CAN DRIVE THE BUMBLEBEE; IT'S A REALLY FUN DRIVE THROUGH THE HILLS.

AND IN THE NEWS: THE OBAMA PATROL CAN'T KEEP OUT ILLEGAL ALIENS, BUT THEY CAN SAVE US FROM ILLEGAL TAMALES.

Bullshit & Fluff ?...OK

Yesterday FedX dropped off my new digital thermometer, ya know, the kind that you measure the temperature of your meat with.

Actually, the ones you buy in the stores take 20-30 seconds to get a reading while your hand is getting splashed with grease or burnt by the grill flame.
This one reads in less that 5 seconds, not bad for $19 shipped.

Next door neighbor stopped by and said come over and see what's in my garage.

He had a beer cag with a propane flame under it, copper coils at the top and a clear liquid dipping into a Mason jar at the bottom.

How can you spend $400,000 on a pickup restoration? That's just stupid.
