Well I been busy the last couple of days......the Master Cabinet maker was in town and we were very busy putting in some of his latest creations.....I mostly just tried to stay out of his way.....the guy can do some work. We also ate some choice Nebraska corn fed steaks and talked cars and family and even some politics....we did laugh a lot also......I had a good time and the wife is very happy with her new additions to the house.......extremely happy in fact......Thanks Tom.....she is already talking about the next project.....

Here are some pics....of the shelves in the great room and the new uppers in the kitchen......

Morning guys....yes it was a great time, Marcus. Thanks for allowing me to do that work for you and Mrs. Uman. And thank you for the great Nebraska hospitality. I was very pleased with the turnout as well. Being that far from the shop and trying to match color and assure that everything fits right is a bit nerve-wracking. But it all turned out pretty well.

The drive home was not bad, 362 miles, 5 hours and 43 minutes. We did get into some flurries along the way. I'm not even unpacking my bag completely as we will be packing up Tuesday to go to KC for Thanksgiving.

Today I'm going to unpack, and put away, some of the tools I won't need to install the cabinet, I built and will take up and install, for #1 daughter in KC.

Bill, are you polishing those all up? Must be stainless to have lasted that long anyway. Are the covers next?

Marcus, are you or Mrs. Uman on facebook? If so, let me know, or go to Coyote Country Cabinets and "like" the page. Mrs.Uman will be able to see the pictures we were talking about.

Greetings!

It's a balmy 19 degrees outside, won't be sticking my nose out there for a while yet. Besides, I should still be sleeping - I must be slipping.

Awesome work, Tom - everything looks great!

I imagine Bill and that bead-blaster will have those pipes looking like new in no time.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

No stainless, just aluminized steel with chrome tips.

I put the covers away, don't want to think about it.

Yea, Brad, glass bead BUT, yesterday I tried to fit the rusted part in the blast cabinet using a cardboard door.
Didn't work at all, just not enough room.

So, I'll be out in the driveway soon , hate loosing the glass bead but got to save these.

The crap on the chrome tips is baked on nasty, hope I can remove it.

Too bad Matt couldn't send you the box from his new refrigerator - it would make a nice giant, disposable blast cabinet ;-)

Had one of those a long time ago.

This was easier out on the driveway.......Fun?....NOT.

I'll probably clog up the shower getting the glass bead outa my hair.

Good Morning CGs!

I have been a busy beaver today. Up before 7 am and out in the garage to start working. The other night I bought the HF ultrasonic cleaner to clean the carbs on the snowblowers. So I got the FIL's MTD torn down and dropped the carb in with the cleaner. Ran three eight minute cycles. Came out pretty good. Got everything reassembled and it still wasn't right. Pulled the bowl off and ran a welding top cleaner through the passage and that was the ticket. Runs great now. Then I got my Honda torn down and did the same thing. That was extra dirty and the ultrasonic cleaner sure did its job. Snowblower is running better than it did last year.

I was getting ready to clean up as wifey was leaving for work. She hits the wipers on her car and boom, no more wipers. The snow was too wet/heavy and she should have known better and cleaned it off. I was miffed to say the least. After a little yelling she ended up taking my car. So I pulled hers halfway into the garage (all that would fit) and started taking about the cowl cover. Luckily once I got everything apart the linkage had simply popped off the bushing. Easy fix and I had it up and running in 20 minutes. Still 20 minutes longer than I wanted.

After that it was about and hour and a half of homework with the kids. Then we went outside so I could clean up the yard (lawn furniture, etc) that I didn't get done last week like I should have. Then it was snowblowing the accumulation in the front which was about 3-4 inches.

Just made some dinner for the kids and I'm sitting down to relax. Going to my mom's for dinner in a bit.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Matthew

I saw the pictures on his FB page. Amazing work and a seamless transition. You can't even tell.

NICE TRIP TO ARKANSAS. TOOK THE BUMBLEBEE, ROAD WAS STILL WET IN SPOTS GOING OVER SO COULDN'T HAVE AS MUCH FUN IN THE HILLS.

GRAND DAUGHTER WAS CRAZY ABOUT HER IPOD-TOUCH, WHICH DARLING WIFE SAID COST TOO MUCH. HELL, THIS IS MY FAVORITE GRANDDAUGHTER :-) BASKETBALL GAMES WERE GOOD AND BAD; FIRST ONE WAS A COME FROM BEHIND WIN AGAINST A TOUGH TEAM, THE SECOND THEY GOT WAXED BY AN INFERIOR TEAM. BY THE SECOND GAME THEY WERE PLAYED OUT AND THE OTHER TEAM WAS FRESH. WHY THEY SCHEDULED THOSE KIDS FOR TWO GAMES BACK TO BACK I DO NOT KNOW.

HAD FUN ON THE CURVES DRIVING BACK, UNTIL I GOT STUCK BEHIND A SEMI. THERE ARE ONLY TWO LEGAL PASSING ZONES ON THAT WHOLE STRETCH THROUGH THE HILLS :-(

Thanks Matt for checking out the page. Didn't do anything in the shop, except for putting stuff away. It was a pretty day, cool, but sunny.
