I hope all of you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving day. I've been a bit of a stranger around here for the past months, but please know I at least take a look most days. I'm tremendously thankful for the friendship you've shown through tech help as I've needed it.
You guys are the best.

Har, that looks like my cooking! Happy Thanksgiving to all the Gurus! Here's a little recipe (I just finished whipping this up):

1 lb. fresh cranberries
4 red apples
1 cup sugar
1 large or 2 small jars of marshmallow creme
1 large or 2 small Cool-Whip

Chop up apples and cranberries in food processor to fine consistency. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl except for the Cool-Whip. Refrigerate overnight. Shortly before serving, mix in Cool-Whip. I like to try to drain off some of the excess juice before mixing in the Cool-Whip.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope everyone gets to spend some time with family today. Sister, BIL, and niece are at my folks' now. I took the kids over last night and they played for a bit. They will see each other again today and tomorrow. They all play well together so that's nice. Too bad we are so far apart or else they would get to see each other more often.

Picked up my wheels/tires from Discount last night. Everyone was in a good holiday mood. Mounting of tires was free after their little faux pas last week. A funny side note is after the one kid helped me load my car I asked for the manager by name. His face went white and he thought there was more trouble. Apparently they all knew who I was already after they were talked to about last week's service. I told him not to worry, nothing was wrong. Manager came out and I handed him a case of beer to say thanks and no hard feelings. He was quite appreciative and there was a little celebration in the tire bays once the guys found out there was beer after work. So I brightened a few holiday spirits. Funny how free beer can do that.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Matthew

Hey guys...slept in after the late night. Grands didn't sleep in but they were pretty quiet. Been looking through a forums' for sale items looking for a Cnc router. Found one not too far, may peruse acquiring it.

Not doing the turkey thing until later today. SIL is out smoking the 24 lber now. Weather isn't very nice today, glad we got here when we do last night.

Ya Guru's and the very best to you all on this Thankful day......I am thankful that we are all inside since we are in the middle of an ice storm and the roads are one solid sheet of the frozen concoction......they better get it fixed by tomorrow or its going to be one long journey into the mecca of football.....

I just got done peeling all the spuds and the turkey is getting that golden brown color that we all love.....Uboy is making the green bean casserole and the pies are cooling on the counter......I am thankful for it all.....

I was thinking last night that the strength of this nation is not the idiots who are in Washington but in the hard working folks that run the State governments and on down to the Counties and all the police and fire departments.....and in the hard working people who get up and go to work every day even though the deck is stacked against them. That's where our strength lies, and that is what I am thankful for......

.....and to have some good forum friends I can hang out with.......eat, drink and watch football.....you have all earned it........be safe out there Guru's....and Go Big Red!

Just went out to Kohl's surprisingly, it was pretty easy to walk around and shop. Then we got back to the far corner of the store to the the start of the checkout line. I tell Rosie, there is nothing here worth standing in a line three hours. She agreed and we came back...piss on that sh!t.

As long as you don't watch network news or read the papers/news magazines, the world is a pretty good place. The smaller you keep your world the more appealing what you see and hear. The wider the vision the more chaos, confusion and catastrophe you experience. A perfect example of the less you know the better.
