Good Morning CGs!

So how was Turkey Day for everyone? Hopefully you all got to spend time with family and enjoy it. We were at my mom and dad's house with my sister, BIL, and niece. I ate well but didn't stuff myself until I was sick. The kids played nicely, but like kids. My sister and BIL were complaining about my niece's attitude and behavior lately and I just laughed about it because it was typical 4 year old behavior. That's not the answer they were looking for...lol. Sometimes kids are just kids. I sometimes lose sight of that with my own, but it's easy to brush stuff off when it's someone else's child.

Wife was browsing through the Sears website or newspaper last night and found the fridge that we just bought on Monday has a price drop of $100. Funny, I asked the salesman two weeks ago if it would drop any more for Black Friday and he said "no, this is the best price you'll get". So we'll be at the store next week to get our $100 price adjustment. Unreal...lol.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

The Thanksgiving dinner was great. Saw some tribal members I haven't seen in awhile. Below is a pic of my wife's relatives that got together from Cali, NY, Ohio and Florida. True to holiday fashion is a mix of Jews, Christians, agnostics and others. Anglo, Hispanic, Afro and Native. Overall the dinner held no major controversies till the end when a familial spat broke out involving my BIL, ex SIL, her sister and her husband and the "new" husband of my ex-SIL. It wouldn't have been a true Thanksgiving if familial tensions or clashes of ideologies concerning religion or politics didn't break out. A good time was had by all and in the end everybody left happy. (The spat went mostly unnoticed but I picked up on a couple of f-bombs flying around.)

COLD AND WET IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. TWO AND A HALF INCHES IN THE RAIN GAGE AND STILL RAINING. TWO MORE RAINY DAYS AFTER TODAY THEY SAY. THE CHEROKEES THINK THIS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY.

HAD A GREAT T-DAY WITH #1 DAUGHTER AND FAMILY. BOTH COLLEGE KIDS WERE HOME AND #1 GRANDSON BROUGHT GIRLFRIEND WITH HIM, AN ENTIRELY SUITABLE CANDIDATE; SHE FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE FAMILY.

TOMMY: THE ONLY AFTER DINNER ARGUMENT WAS WHETHER URBANIZATION COULD OCCUR BEFORE AGRICULTURE. SIL IS HARD TO GET ALONG WITH; HE'S FAR TOO MUCH LIKE ME ;-)

That looks like an interesting crew Tommy.....love those family get togethers.....

Our family gathering was much smaller but we ate like a large crowd was present....unlike Matt I ate until I had to go lay on the floor like a bloated cow........but I soon recovered when those magic words were said...."who wants pie?" I did find out I can't keep up with Uboy though.....his consumption made us all proud......big appetites are appreciated out here.

Today it is cold and windy and miserable......just right for Husker Football....we are going in early because the roads are a mess and security issues will slow down entry to the stadium.......this is fun for us.....I am wearing insulated bib coveralls with at least 3 layers of hoodies and thermal under shirts along with my coat......should be good......can't move very well but I will be warm......

Well gotta start getting my game face on......have a good day off Guru's....and Go Big Red.......

I think I'm glad I'm not sitting at a football game.... sorry Marcus.

Great pics!

We had a lot of fun up at my nieces, way too much to eat. My reign as darts champion of the world continues. The drive home was tiring though - a bit over 4 hours with some heavy traffic in spots. I had about an inch of snow to shovel when we got home.

Grands are doing karaoke on the AppleTV. Great entertainment...
