2nd cup o'joe down. A nice hot shower, get dressed and the semblance of alertness should return. Sue gets her stitches out at 11:30. I'll drive her up because the parking up in that part of town sucks that bad. Tomorrow I hope to regain my normal routine. Figure I'll be back on schedule with everything in about 2 weeks. Whoo-Hoo!

Morning guys...it snowed here a little bit, maybe a couple inches. They cancelled school here and most of the area schools. I think it was a mistake. Not that much snow and not all that bad. Oh, well, it doesn't affect me one way or the other.

Not working on the 'she-shed' today. Think I'll stick with staying in the shop.

I guess it's still snowing very lightly. Maybe they are expecting more.

the storm rageth and the drifts get bigger.......nobody has gone by on the road as far as I know......going to be real fun digging out......I can hardly get out on the back deck to let the dog out......the morning commute out to the office is impossible so I called the work day off........I even gave the drivers a day off......didn't want to but I did.......since all the roads are closed.....

Today was the day. Borrowed BIL's truck and drove over to the shop (about an hour). I had already spoken to the one owner (two brothers) but I met with the second one and he went over everything with me. Looks like nice work and they commented that the engine should be a really good runner based on the work/heads/combo, etc. Started pouring rain and hail on the way home, but the block was wrapped up so it was ok. Got it home and out of the truck and on the stand. That's step one.



I'd like to work on it, but wife got called into work so I have to pick up the kids after school and take them to swimming lessons. So that takes up my whole afternoon. I will get in a quick workout, though. I was happy just getting the PS rack installed yesterday, so as long as I make a little progress at a time I'm ok. Putting the block in is the next "big" step. Then I can do the intake, accessories, etc at my leisure. The intake is a PIA and will be about 2 hours by itself.

oh yeah.....the Honda....its almost done......

Went outside to see how deep the drifts are.....they are knee deep on a tall Injun....so we are stuck unless we cut thru with the snow blower....but its still snowing so will wait....kinda a wet heavy snow.....

Sympathies to all on the snow-please keep it there with you. We had enough .

Yesterday was the suck but lesson learned on never asking how it can get worse. A lady buzzed on hydros and booze st 8am apparently had it floored in a car that wasn't hers, a brand new one still with temp tags and t-boned my truck. It was sitting in driveway at BFs house . We were just about to walk out the door n put our bags in good thing or we'd been trapped. Hit mine so hard it was knocked into his company truck sitting next to it.

I ran out n beat on her window n said bitch you ain't leaving you hit my truck! Then I opened door and tried to drag her out . Claims she wasn't trying to leave but backed her car up 8 feet n got stuck in the yard.
They put her in the meat wagon n took blood then I guess took her to hospital I'm not sure .

Long day in the shop. The big storm, like usual, mostly missed us. By mid-day the sun was breaking through. What snow we got was blown around by the strong winds. Had a visitor bearing gifts (payment for work done), so I head out to deposit it in the bank and notice that the parts store had a LOT of activity and vehicles parked around it. So after the bank, I went back to the parts store and they are having their "Appreciation day". Several vendors reps with special prices and a free lunch. So I get in line and while standing there they bring a big tray of huge steaks through. Yes, steak, au-gratin potatoes, green salad, desert the whole nine yards....and it was absolutely delicious.

Crap, Letty, that just sucks.

Nice relaxing dinner at a lakeside steakhouse in Garland, TX, a cold beer and back to the hotel which is very nice and cool looking with modern stuff. And cheap! $130ish - might be a heated pool swim later

Howdy from Toronto, Gurus! Mrs. Pianoguy says we have 8-9 inches of snow at home, so I guess I'm not going to complain about being here for the moment. I think we might get some rain here tomorrow, that's it. Found a delightful little Italian joint for dinner tonight, too.
