Good Morning Corvette Gurus!

I had a chance to work in the garage a little bit yesterday. The water pump went on the motor without any incident. I also installed a couple sensors. I ended up having some trouble with that because the builder plugged the knock sbsir and coolant outlet holes with pipe plugs. Of course they are soft and stripped so I had to drill and extract them. Luckily I have all the tools to do so, but it's just one added step. I also noticed that 1 specialty bolt that holds the cooling line brackets was missing. I was frustrated with that last night, but I spoke to the builder today and he found it and will be sending it to me.

I also called the local Chevy dealer today to get a new knock sensor but they are out of stock. They should have some on Saturday so I will pick one up.

That's about it for now.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Tommy's Maze is way too complicated for today.
This one should be a bit easier.

I'm tired and sleepy so Ken's maze works best for me today. I'm also blonde therefore an added hindrance to puzzle solving.
Sunny here but cold. Adjuster has made it out to BFs house to assess yard damages. Says he can't do trucks as he's "not yet authorized". I sent photos and police reports to the Progressive claims agent this morning. Hopefully that'll "authorize" him to send adjuster back out. Figures. In the mean time, I'm out of a vehicle. I'm not wanting to drive a banged up truck with the step bar handing down 2" away from the ground and risk catching it on something and making things worse.
In addition, the claims agent is trying to "prepare me" for what may be a complicated issue with this given the "criminal" portions of it all - the driver don't own the car and was an "unauthorized user". Says this was a "highly publicized" incident in the local media and that is getting them to investigate. Wants me to submit to my ins. I told him absolutely not and I have no issue with getting an attorney. This isn't my fault. Something was hinging on the police report verbage and rumors of her 'stealing' the car. Says in the report he tried to get her not to leave, then was surprised to hear there'd been an accident. (surely he heard it his house is right around the corner). Also says in the report that she "frequently drives the car" which to me, gives indication that she felt comfortable taking it and wasn't 'stealing' it.
I dread this

Letty. I've always heard you should report it to your insurance company. Obviously you are not at fault. They have the financial and legal means to to fight for the monetary recovery from the other insurance company. Talk to your insurance agent. Let them explain how it works. The reason you have insurance its to cover YOUR ass.

This looks like a nice winter project. If Sebring didn't ban personal carts I'm sure this would be a hit.

There is no entrance or exit to that maze. I call it a trap.

Yeah Letty if any Barracudas are involved it should be your insurance company handling it. If your company pays you they will get it out of the other you can bet on that....

I know I can turn it into my company but problem here is this: I'm with a non-standard company till my record clears. I've only been with them since the end of November. The last thing I need to do is submit a claim to a new company and the fact it's non-standard to begin with...
When you do that they hold it against you and your rates increase. This is the problem I'm trying to correct from my own previous wrecks

Hidey-ho! Made it back safely from Toronto, brain-dead after 3 long days of meetings. Flight was 45 minutes late leaving, but otherwise no travel drama. They still have green grass in Toronto. Meanwhile, we have about a foot of new snow around here. Oh well:

Meanwhile, I hope your insurance company does right by you, Letty!

Enjoy what's left of your day, Gurus!

That reminds me, Gris. Got a box of "junk" tools the other day cheap off eBay. Standouts were a set of craftsman USA sockets, real Peterson vise grips, and a snap on ratcheting screwdriver. A bunch of drawer filler pieces and some Chinese crap, too.

Hey guys...busy day, but not real sure what I got done. I cut a couple of signs I designed for the CNC. Did the design work before Christmas, then got busy doing other things and forgot about it. These were just a work of love. My #1 SIL at Thanksgiving was talking about a sign his father was looking at buying, I just decided at that time I was going to create one for him. Actually, I created two. Next trip to KC I'll give them to him.

Yes, Letty, I understand your dilemma.

Welcome back to civilization, Brad....or is it the other way?
