Good Morning CGs!

Happy Friday to all.

Didn't get a chance to work on the car last night, I got home late. I did call Chevy yesterday but they didn't have a knock sensor in stock. Should have it Saturday so I'll try to get it then. I also called the engine builder. He located the missing stud/bolt from my oil pan so he'll be mailing that out to me. Just a little thing but it bothered me it was missing. Just an oversight, it's a corner bolt that holds a bracket and he put a standard hex bolt in there.

Welcome back, Brad. Although it seems like you will be traveling again shortly. You and Tommy must have the same travel agent.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Well its snowing out......just what we needed..... Don't think it will amount to much.

In the office all day today. Got my teeth fixed and they look great, my dazzling smile is back...see.... Originally the old dentist where I went told me it would take me wearing braces or at least a clear mouthpiece and several years to get my one tooth back in line.......and 4K dollars.

This new dentist fixed the whole thing and it looks great and only charged me 1K. Which included a regular check and whitening and a cleaning.....I am very happy.......my wife's restoration project of me is off to a good start........next is the hearing and need to find an innovative bunch like the dentists I found.....hearing aids are a rip off as far as I'm concerned.....maybe one of those big horn things to hold up to my ear.......what?

Have a safe day Guru's........I SAID HAVE A SAFE DAY.......nevermind......

Greetings! Back at the grindstone - based on my to-do list, they missed me while I was out of the office. Fun, fun, fun!

Sounds like a helluva deal, Marcus! You can barely get a crown for $1k anymore.

Have a great Friday, all!

HAZY AND COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THEY PROMISED US SUNSHINE. THE CHEROKEES ARE DISAPPOINTED.

HAD SUPPER LAST NIGHT AT A RITZY LOCAL PLACE IN MUSKOGEE. $15 FOR A COUPLE OF HOTDOGS AND A STINGY SERVING OF HOME FRYS WITH AN EXOTIC NAME. DARLING WIFE WAS UPSET THAT I WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE HOITY TOITY. IVE HAD A LIFE LONG VISION AND SPEECH PROBLEM. I CAN'T SEE THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES AND SELDOM CAN RESIST SAYING SO :-)

I sat down and had a cold beer.
The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.
My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing, and I said 'nothing'.
The reason I said 'nothing' instead of saying 'just thinking' is because
she then would have asked 'about what?'.
At that point I would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers
about various topics, which would lead to other questions.
Finally I pondered an age old question:
Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?
Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than
a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they "know"?
Well, after another beer, and some more heavy deductive thinking,
I have come up with an answer to that question.
Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though I obviously couldn't really "know", here is the reason for my conclusion.
A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say,
"It might be nice to have another child."
On the other hand, you never hear a guy say,
"You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."
I rest my case.
Time for another beer, and then maybe a nap.

Came in an hour early to the wrap shop this morning. I have plenty to do but am on BFs schedule now as he's having to play chauffeur to me for a few days till we figure out what's happening with my truck. I can bend the step bar back up and drive it but won't until their adjuster looks at it. Figure I'll have him run me by the sewing shop after work and I can pick up some thread I need and couple other things. Then while stuck at home this weekend I can make some curtains for my front porch overhang and get some material to combine his two small feather pillows into one king-sized one that fits the new pillowcases. Praying for a calm day here where I can be left alone. Body shop friend is still mad about delays with his floor staining and getting his office put back together. I felt bad for not being there to help but had a chance to get away for a couple of days so I bolted. I had no idea his stuff would drag out that long and it's not my fault he let a crackhead talk him into doing that mess then not doing it right first.
Happy Friday!

Cool front blew in this morning. Windy and grey outside. It's been a real unusual winter. Well at least the aquifer is well above normal for this time of year. No water restrictions in sight. Sis, niece, great nephews and one of their friends and his mother are gonna spend the night here tonight. The boys have a rugby tournament tomorrow about 30 minutes from here. My sister asked me if I knew a nice, cheap place they could stay near the park they're playing at. I told them nice and cheap don't go together when it comes to hotels/motels and invited them to stay here. Of course they accepted the invitation.

Marcus, I know what you mean about hearing aids. I have had tinnitus for years. The hearing aids I need are $2500 - $3000 each. Will insurance kick in ? "Maybe" and only for part of 1. The other one is all mine to cover. I love my new "Low Premium / High Deductible" insurance.

Hey guys...been on the run since early this morning. Finished up a couple things which is always good. It was a cold start to the day, but has warmed up nicely. In about an hour we will be headed east to watch #2 GS play ball.

Sounds like you got a deal, Marcus. Letty, you can't feel bad about taking those days away, life's too short. What? did you say something? Oh, hearing aids are for weenies.

THREE OLD SOLDIERS, A TANKER, HELICOPTER PILOT, AND AN ARTILLERY MAN GET TOGETHER.

WINDY TODAY, SAYS THE FIRST.

NO IT'S NOT, SAYS THE SECOND, IT'S THURSDAY.

ME TOO, SAYS THE THIRD, LET'S GO GET A BEER.

I GET MY HEARING AIDS FROM THE VA. THANK YOU, TAXPAYERS!
