Good Morning CGs!

The Daddy/Daughter Dance was a success last night. Got there and found her little friend right away. We all ate dinner and then they had dessert at the chocolate fondue fountain. They ran around and played until the Disney princesses showed up to sing and dance. They were pretty much in awe with that. Then there were photos, dancing, and more dessert (of course). I think she was worn out by the end. A good night, if you ask me.

How was everyone's weekend so far?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

SEMI-SUNNY, WINDY, AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING.

GOT MY CULTURE INCULCATION LAST NIGHT AND SHOULD BE IMMUNE FOR AN EXTENDED TIME PERIOD. OPERA IS NOT FOR ME. THAT SAID, #1GS' GF WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE. GREAT VOICE, POWERFUL, GOOD QUALITY & TONE, GRACEFUL STAGE PRESENCE, GRANDPA APPROVES. THE ORCHESTRA GOT A LITTLE TOO ENTHUSIASTIC AT TIMES AND OVERPOWERED THE SINGERS, BUT NOT LIZ. SHE BLASTED THROUGH THEM LIKE A .45 THROUGH A WET PAPER SACK.

SIX+ HOURS ROUND TRIP WINDSHIELD TIME, GOT HOME ABOUT 0130.
LATE NIGHT FOR THE OLD FOLKS.

I DID GET TO SIT BY MYSELF GOING OVER, MOM MADE THE LITTLE GIRLS STAY IN THEIR SEATS AND BUCKLED UP BUT #4 GRANDDAUGHTER HAD TO SIT IN MY LAP THRU THE SHOW :-)

Howdy! Sounds like some good family time was had yesterday. We had some too, reminiscing over vacation pics from years past, some good laughs. And I got to give my friend's grandson his first taste of chocolate ice cream - it was love at first bite. No big plans for the Super Bowl, just hope it is a decent game. I'll be rooting for Peyton.

Have a great day, Gurus!

Good afternoon, all.

My lovely wife has me cued up with both quarterback's jerseys featuring the Super Bowl 50 logo. I'm rooting for a good game—I like each of the teams.

Hey guys...off to the church hall early to help with the big breakfast after church. We cooked up all the sausage before the crowd showed up and made pancakes right before people started showing up. It was a good turnout and had a ball with the others there helping.

WE are now off to Dodge City to eat supper and maybe, just maybe, gamble a little at the casino. Rosies' birthday is tomorrow and I told her I'd take her out for a steak.

Weather is nice again, a little breezy (30mph from the north), but I've got the Corvette down and ready to go.

Cleaned up my tool shed today. I had boxes I haven't looked in since we moved in here. Found some of my power tools I was missing. Opened a toolbox I had on the shelf and it was full of tools I didn't even know I had. lol Ratchets, sockets, hammers, screw drivers. Even straightened out the fastener bins. Put washers with washers, screws with screws, nails with nails, bolts with bolts, nuts with nuts. I think I'll be able to find what I'm looking for again. I didn't do it all but I put a major dent in it. Still have one more big box of of hardware to go through. I'm building a big new shed in the back primarily to store antique tools and other antique stuff. It's gonna be cool. Like stepping back in time. Sue is still sick. She started feeling better then relapsed. She is sleeping through the Super Bowl. I should have taken her lead ......

Back from Dodge. Had a good meal, we shared the prime rib, it was a 16oz piece of meat (med rare) and we each had a salad/soup and shared a twice baked potato, all for $21.48 and then gave the waiter a $7 tip. They had a special thing going for the Super Bowl, when you signed in you told them who your "team" was and each time they scored you got 'free' money to play on the machines. We both took the Donkeys, so right off the bat, we had $25 in "freeplay" money, then again we got $10 more later. Anyway, Rosie turned hers' into $76 then we took $20 out for supper (I was the big spender and I took care of $1.48 and the tip ) I turned my $35 into $85. We left shortly after the half started or else we would have gotten some more "freeplay" money. Most importantly, we had a good time.

HOme and have the Corvette back on the lift, but I'll get it down tomorrow to clean it up some before I put the cover back on.

Congrats to the Denver Donkeys...er Broncos on the Super Bowl win.
