... since Lauren came off that open transport after the 2,900 mile trip from Salem, Oregon. This last year was a mechanically eventful one, with the complete failure of the original fuel pump in September 2015 and some other minor issues. Other than a few small details, there hasn't been much restoration work done in the last twelve months. For the next year, I'm looking at giving the ignition system a complete once over and likely replacing some of the foam inside the HVAC ducting. As far as restoration, perhaps new seat covers and foam? At this point, I would characterize Lauren as in show condition, but not judging condition. Today was a cold and grey March day. Ivelis and I took Lauren out in the afternoon on a couple of errands. With the new fuel pump, the idle is much more even—nice. Of course I took a picture. |

That means, in about 3 weeks, we will have been friends for 12 years. We met when you and John Porter came down to the Gordon Killebrew event the First State Corvette Club was hosting.
Time flies... Also means, in about 3 months, it will be 12 years since I left Delaware for California. Would it be trite to say it felt like yesterday? |

Holy Crap! Time flies. How long have you and T been married now, Andy? Congrats on Lauren, John. I started lurking around CF in 2001 and remember reading many of your posts. I've had my 90 coming up on 14 years. YOW! |

You, John Porter, and I had breakfast together at Hall's Family Restaurant in Wyoming, Delaware and then headed over to a very nice garage in Dover for the "Gordon's School." Back then, some C4s weren't yet old cars—they were only one generation back and the last of the line was only eight years old. How things have changed ... |
