Hidey-ho! It's pretty tired out this morning, was up way past my bedtime. I don't know how much of the Who concert was real, and how much was smoke and mirrors, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Zak Starkey was phenomenal, made me not miss Moonie so much. Anyway, I'll be making a bee-line to my nap chair later.

Have a good one, Gurus!

Morning guys...I'm up and headed for the 'city'. Have a mess to make in my clients house. Don't have much choice though. At least the sun is shining this morning. Today is the first of our golf association Mens nights. KC strips on the menu. Got to make sure I'm done and back home so I can go out for that.

Good Morning CGs!

Bad news on the medical front. Dad had a couple of falls the past few days and yesterday he was aggressive with staff adn grabbed someone. That means a trip to the ER for eval. That happened last night around 8 pm. I talked to him on the phone and calmed him down, but it was too late. So mom went up to the ER and they will admit him to check his meds, etc. I will go up there today and visit. He won't be going back to the place he was before.

My therapy for this is buying tools, so I hit ebay this morning and bought some ratchets. That's what most people do, right?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

DAMN! I PUT THIS ON THE WRONG DAY.

CLOUDY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THIS BEING DARLING WIFE'S LADIES CLUB PARTY DAY, I'M READY TO EXECUTE MY E&E PLAN. I SHALL BREAK DOWN INTO SMALL GROUPS AND EXFILTRATE THE AREA :-)

Distraction is elementary in dealing with situations beyond our control. Dwelling on a matter does little to change the outcome.

Sorry to hear it Matt.....tough situation.....hoping for the best!

Well it was a cold and rainy weekend so I did what most folks do.....I tore all the back interior out of the GS and put sound deadener in it.....lots of work, took me both days but got it all back in working order....my hands and back are sore today......

all out....

Resized Image

putting the Thermo guard FR in it.....something I picked up at NAPA....I used 60 square ft doing the back end and behind the seats and had only a hand full of scraps left over....

Resized Image

I had to buy a new set of Aviation tin snips to cut the stuff.....the insulation side was some tuff stuff...

Resized Image

Also put some nifty red welt piping on the doors...which is all the rage now....I like it......puts a little color in the cabin.....

Resized Image

Have not driven the car so can't tell if all the work was worth it but it has to help...right?

Enjoy your day Guru's........

marcus, the piping gives it a kind of 78 25th anniversary effect. Looks great.

Looks good, Marcus. I'm sure the sound deadener will help.

Hey guys, good day for me. I got the door hung and a couple of other things done over in the 'city'. Got home, unloaded, then got my clubs and went out to play golf. Had better nights playing golf, but a bad night playing golf is still better than working.

I'm interested in how well this works Marcus. Wrapping the exhaust seemed to help interior heat on mine.

Oh, interested in the welting too. Where did you get it and how did it go on? I'm thinking orange though.

I have a contact from CF who lives about 90 miles from here...he sent me what he had left over from what he used on his car......I will look it up tomorrow....orange would look great.....I used my framing square's wide blade to work the welting into the gap......fit well but gets a bit tight by the speaker........I will post the thread later.......

as far as sound deadener goes it's got to help I'm thinking......I was actually looking for another product but this is what they had so gave it a try......will be going to Manhattan soon and that will be a good test.....someone said that behind the seats was a must to keep the tire noise and road noise out.....

I stand corrected.
