Hidey-ho! Nice and sunny, Vette day. Meanwhile, we have a bird or bat or something in our chimney. Hopefully it won't disturb my nap later.

Have a good day, Gurus!

I was perusing Panaorama Magazine, official magazine for the PCA (Porsche Club of America) and came across an interview with Bob Bondurant. Here are a few Q & A's I thought you might enjoy.

Q: "When did you know you wanted to spend your life as a racing driver?"

A: "After I bought my first sports car, a Morgan Plus 4. From the start I was faster than many seasoned race drivers."

Q: "Who was the hardest to pass?"

A: "Graham Hill in Monaco in 1966; we were both driving BRM's. Scenes from Grand Prix were being filmed during that race."

Q: "The best time you ever had in a car?"

A: "Riding with students at my racing school. Giving advice and watching them get better is always rewarding."

Q: "How many speeding tickets have you gotten?"

A: " I lost count ..."

Q: "If you were to landscape around your yard at home what plants would you prefer?"

A: " I wouldn't plant anything. I'd pave over the whole lot or spray it all with Round-Up."

Q: "If you hadn't become a racing driver, what would you have done?"

A: " I'd be a professional helicopter pilot. I was heading in that direction in the early 1960's but i got a call to race Shelly Washburn's Corvette, which in turn led to racing for Carrol Shelby."

Ok, Ok. One of those Q & A's may be . I had to keep it interesting. Except for that one bs question the remainder come from an Art & Canvas article in Panorama Magazine where all credit belongs to them and is acknowledged.

I've discussed instructing with Bob on more that one occasion. Been thru his facility talking with his instructors when I was racing at Firebird Raceway (which is right next door).

In Reno, I didn't have the guts to tell him that I just wanted the poster, not his autograph.

Yea, but I prefer Ortho when dealing with landscrape.

Easy to understand thought Jackie Stewart knew how (he's the one in front).

IT was 96 in Reno yesterday.

I ALMOST had to turn on the swamp cooler but at 5 p.m. I opened the kitchen window and the breeze blowing was fairly cool. I haven't turned on the swamp for 2 months.

The extra insulation I added when I redid the windows and siding paid off huge.

That all ends today and the whole way thru Saturday, 99-100.

Hey guys, was up and out of the house early. When I came back, I spent most of the morning in the shop. I got the crib all sprayed. Just needs to cure out. This afternoon I actually found my lazy boy for a nap.
