SUNNY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES REJOICE.

THE WAGES OF SIN IN OUR BRAVE NEW WORLD:

This morning I was sitting on a park bench next to a homeless man. I started a conversation by asking him how he ended up this way.

He said, "Up until last week, I still had it all. I had plenty to eat, my clothes were washed and pressed, I had a roof over my head, I had TV and Internet, and I went to the gym, the pool, and the library. I was working on my MBA on-line. I had no bills and no debt. I even had full medical coverage."

I felt sorry for him, so I asked, "What happened? Drugs? Alcohol? Divorce?"

"Oh no, nothing like that," he said. "No, no. I got out of prison."

I have a question for the handgun crew. In your opinions what would be the best small, lightweight, easily concealed and effective pocket carry. Large capacity is not important just something that will get off a few rounds quickly, easily with the ability to knock an assailant down. Think pajama or house gun. I want another option for my personal war on crime. Already have a 3 shot 12 gauge and 9 shot 40 S&W Taurus. Just need an extra little sumpin, sumpin.

Aahhhhh .... Got to get to work around here. Burning daylight and there's just a little over 3 weeks till vaycay. Plenty to do if I want to achieve my pre vacation goals.

Good Morning CGs!

I was up and at 'em a little earlier, but had some chores around the house. I've been having some sinus pain overnight the past week. Last night I slept upright (not exactly natural/comfortable) and it seems to alleviate most of it. That's a good thing.

Took the kids to the zoo yesterday. They enjoyed that. Not sure what is on the agenda for today. I know I'm making dinner later and the outlaws are coming over. Should be a nice time.

Tommy, you should look at the S&W shield which is a compact 9 mm. I think that's a good choice. If you prefer a wheel gun, they have some nice ones, as well. If you want smaller, you'd probably be looking at a Ruger LCP .380 or a S&W bodyguard .380. I would go with the 9mm, myself (and I own both .380s). Ammo is cheaper/easier and a slightly better round with the 9mm. Of course there are other quality 9mm compacts out there, I just don't have much experience with them.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Howdy! Slept in today, which is a nice change of pace. My yard looks like some kind of green crops are growing out there, so it is beyond time to harvest them. I may need to bale the grass with all the rain we've gotten the past few days. The week ahead looks pretty nice, just in time to go back to work, of course.

Hope you feel better, Matt.

Have a good one, yawlz!

I always had a slight "dilemma" with tools. I had the 6 drawer roller cabinet in the race trailer absolutely jammed full of the good stuff. The tool box in the shop was so-so.
And when working on a project, I always had to run out, unlock the trailer and get the tool I needed.

So, I bought this bigger roller, remember looking at it in the store and thinking "I can get all the sockets and wrenches in this huge top drawer.

Wrong................

Gwad, I'm gonna run out of room and still have tools laying all over the shop floor.

SIG MAKES A VERY NICE .45 ULTRA COMPACT ON THE 1911 PATTERN. 3" BBL, ALLOY FRAME, LIGHT WEIGHT, VERY CONCEALABLE, SIX ROUND MAG, ONE DOWN THE SPOUT. QUITE ACCURATE FOR A THREE INCH BBL, AND VERY CONTROLLABLE. THE .45 ACP HAS BEEN SOLVING SERIOUS SOCIAL PROBLEMS FOR 100 YEARS. THEY RUN AROUND $900.

Hey guys...got around this morning, ate breakfast with brother/SIL, then went out to older brothers house...it was full of SILs family members there for the big party. Then headed home, by way of Rosie's Dad's place. It was a pretty day for a nice drive. Low 80's and a lite breeze.

Got home, washed 007 and put it away.

Nice tool box Bill! The tool set Tommy has is 'cute' too!
