Well its Monday and no big rain so I get to work all week on irrigation scheduling........never can be just easy.......very cool outside this morning and yesterday was a perfect weather day here.

I spent some time out on the deck couch napping to the sound of the water event splashing and a soft breeze keeping the zika skeeters off me....

I see they have travel advisories for the Miami Dade area because of the Zika.........we just need to do away with mosquito's......they have killed more folks than any war.......watch your six Tommy.......

What up this week Guru's.....? anything exciting?

Greetings! Back to the grindstone after several days of soggy golf, followed by catching up on the yard work. Nice and sunny out, so the Vette came along for the ride. I even remembered to put my hatch vent gizmo in for a change, hadn't used that in ages.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Ya, Zika has been floating around the Caribbean and South America for awhile and now it's hit the US mainland. Really bad for pregnant women as it causes birth defects. Babies develop improperly formed heads and brains. The rest of us can get the virus through person to person transmission or a bite from an infected mosquito. I wonder if there is some kind of wall that would contain it. (Never mind) Right now it's about 35 miles north of here. I've been traveling around the islands for years. I just make sure I apply a layer of sunscreen first then a nice spritz of Deep Woods Off.

Heading to the dentist later for a filling. My gums are receding along with my hairline. He wants to patch a tooth at the gum line that's going soft. Speaking of going soft ......... (Never mind ... again)

I applied the first coat of paint over the primer yesterday on the back shed. Of course, to look good it needs another coat rolled on. I spend time back there when I can since I have so many other irons in the fire. After the next coat of paint I'll be free to move on. Pics will come. Start working on the bathroom soon. Maybe AFTER vacation.

I did clean up the tool bomb damage in the shop enough to get the 92 back inside.

That was work so of course DNBFS cane next, decided to run over to Joe's and watch him work while I sat in a chair.

He had a beautiful 67 Elkhart Blue Coupe in the shop, has the same interior as mine. Pulling the engine.

And the 63 RestoMod was in the other bay.

Of course, watching him work tired me out so, I came home to take a nap.

Well, Joe brought the car here from Alaska, it was a drag car with a whale tail, cut out hood, flared fenders,a rusted out frame and nothing original on the drive train.

It has a SRII tube frame with C6 suspension and coilovers, Viper rear end. LS3 with a 5 speed.

Not my thing though, doesn't even make the "Top Ten Cars I Want in My Collection".

Hey guys...It was a nice day here today, got up into the upper 80's. Worked in the shop for a while, made some headway on the bedside table, then went to the 'city' to pick up a new grill and get the mirror for the vanity.

Saturday evening, at my brothers party, I overheard him talking about wanting to sell a 9mm handgun he had. He wants to buy a different one. So I asked him what it was. He called it a Taurus Beretta. He told me that there hven't been too many rounds through it. It has original grips as well as some sort of custom grips (Hoge) and three 15 round clips and some ammo. I'm giving him $350 for it.

3 15 round clips? Preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse? It's a good deal as long as you feel it's a good deal.

That sounds like a fair price, TB. Hogue makes nice grips, usually better than factory.

I was a busy beaver today. I got some errands done, cut the grass, and got in my first work out.

In the evening I had to attend the funeral of my close friend 's grandmother. I know his family and there is a large group of friends, so it was nice to see people and catch up. Of course it's sad when someone passes, but she lived a good life and had 21 grandchildren and was even into the great-grandchildren years. I don't like funerals and I think a good way to honor someone's memory is with laughter and company. So that's what we did. It will happen to all of us one day. I'd rather be remembered in good spirits than have a dark, sorrowful funeral. But maybe that's just me.

Hope everyone had a great day!
