Greetings! A day full of meetings and conference calls lies ahead - oh, joy. I'll be counting the minutes until golf later this afternoon.

Have a good day, Gurus!

My problem is trap shooter got in an argument and vowed never to return.
Well I love to shoot. Practice by yourself sucks. Got permission to start trap league. Have 9 trap 12 skeet 5 stand clays. getting zz bird set up.
No tournament here yet but I will change that so I have to trave to clubs like North Hollywood , Oak tree Santa Maria
For tournaments
Been about 5-6 years since last tournament here. May have one in October.

SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT CLUB. OUR CLUB IS NO WHERE NEAR SO WELL ENDOWED. I'VE NEVER DONE WELL AT REG TRAP, CAN BARELY HIT THE GROUND, MUCH LESS THE BIRD. I DO OK AT SKEET & WOBBLE TRAP, WHICH IS ALL WE HAVE ON THE SHOTGUN SIDE. FIVE STAND IS FUN, SPORTING CLAYS HAS GOTTEN OVER THE TOP,IMHO. WHEN WE LIVED AT LAWTON THE FT SILL SKEET CLUB HAD A WOBBLE SKEET SETUP. I REALLY LOVED TO SHOOT THAT.

WHAT IS ZZ BIRD?

I've heard great things about LASIK, Marcus. Right now I use 1.5 readers. I treat vision like hearing. If I can't hear it or don't see it I don't worry about it.

Morning guys...foggy here this morning and cool. I cab take this all week, but, like Marcus, I wish it would just rain.

Feeling a little under the weather today. Just no 'get up and go'. And I need to go out to the shop and get some stuff done.

Have a great day....

I asked my Doc about Lasik, he said "No, we'd rather slit your eyeball open and slam in a new lens."

I can't wait, sounds like fun.

He also said it takes about 6 minutes.

My earlier short nap practices (1 to 2 hours) helped me achieve a long distance attempt today of 2 hours and 45 minutes. I believe that to be a recent personal best record. The rain chased me in. I could have done other mundane interior tasks but opted for some pillow time which seems to have had it's rewards. Rain, rain go away ..........

Hey guys, worked in the shop for most of the day. Yesterday, we bought 6 old oak chairs. 4 of them matched, and the other two were matches. Of the four, only 1 really needed much work, so this morning I took it completely apart, cleaned the joints, and re-glued it. The other two were in good shape structurally, but the finish really sucked. So I spent a couple hours per chair with lacquer thinner and steel wool dissolving the old finish.I like doing it this way compared to chemical strippers as the chemical strippers remove everything, including the stain. My method just dissolves the finish, leaving the stained wood behind. After doing the process, I take a clean rag with lacquer thinner and wipe it down, let it sit for a while to dry and spray a couple coats of clear lacquer on them. These two chairs had an upholstered seat, so I got into my stash of upholstery material and found some to re-do the pad seat.

The chairs were almost black when I started and turned out like this.

Hot here today. Stopped at an old school hardware store that is closing after 75 years. Like a time warp to the 60s. Most of the tools were cleaned out. I might go back and look again another day.

Closed the pool today. Drained and cover on. Still need to finish putting away the equipment. I can finish that tomorrow.
