What a pain in the ass, just about as bad as doing bodywork. I only needed 3 band-aids. The tan/gold stuff has to be glued in ( which means you have to scrape all the old chit off). You can't get in there right without laying on your back. And a regular sized can of 3M spray adhesive is hard to get a decent angle on with the stuff in the way. Sometimes upside down (of course it stops spraying then). Then you have to fit the insulation around corners, into crevices, etc. And you have to nail the hole locations the first time because the stuff will tear if you try to pull it off. Then the black, molded stuff goes in with rubber push pins but, under the dash, you have no leverage. That's it for today, I'll work on the push pins tomorrow. I had so much glue on my hands that I had to wash them with Goo-Gone. |
