My 87 destroys a CD player in about a year. Not a smooth ride any recommendations?

My '92 does not have a CD player, but I have loaded my music into my iPhone,
and play all songs through a cassette player:

I've always liked higher end Pioneer and Alpine. If you are putting in $99 CD players that might be a contributing factor. I would get a CD player with an aux or iPod input and run the songs off my phone/mp3 player.
