Martin Luther King's birthday. That's what I'm talkin about. Presidents Day has big sales. St Patrick's has green beer and donuts. Memorial Day kicks off the summer season with BBQ's and get togethers and honors our war dead. Independence Day has hot dogs and the celebration of a document. Labor day marks the end of what might have been and the beginning of what is and celebrates the fight for decent wages. Columbus Day we celebrate made up holiday. Halloween we wake up the dead. Veterans day honors those that have served for this great nation. (It's already great) Thanksgiving we give thanks and gorge. Christmas is (you fill in the blank) New Years marks another trip around the sun and that brings us back to Martin Luther King's Birthday. How are you gonna celebrate?

Greetings! I should've donned sunglasses before looking out the window - the glare off of the snow is blinding. As for tomorrow, I hope everyone has equal opportunity to sleep in.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Morning guys....slept in this morning until 9. Stepped outside to check the 'slickness'. Yea, we got iced. luckily it's not as bad as it could have been, appears that we got about 1/4" of build ob things. Initially they were saying to expect, up to an inch. That would have been really bad. So far, we have not had any power outages. But then again, we have had no wind.

Just planning on staying inside today.

ANOTHER GRAY DAY. MISTY, FOGGY, DRIPPY, THIS IS GETTING TIRESOME, BUT AT LEAST WE HAD NO ICE LOCALLY.

ON THE WAY OVER TO OKMULGEE YESTERDAY WE WENT THROUGH AN AREA WITH ICE ON THE TREES. THE ROAD WAS FINE,JUST WET, MAYBE FIVE MILES OF COLD SPOT WHERE IT WAS A DEGREE OR TWO COLDER THAN THE REST OF THE TRIP.

WATCHED #3GD PLAY BASKETBALL. SHE'S SO TINY SHE LOOKED LIKE A MOSQUITO ZIPPING AROUND OUT THERE. THE GAME WAS NOT FAIR; THE OTHER TEAM HAD BEEN PRACTICING.

#4 GD IS NOW READING AT GRADE LEVEL. WHEN SHE CAME TO US TWO YEARS AGO SHE KNEW NO ENGLISH. SMART LITTLE GIRL AND SOME EXCELLENT TEACHERS AT THE LITTLE COUNTRY SCHOOL OF MORRIS, OKLAHOMA.
