SUNNY AND CALM IN THE NATIONS, COLD THIS MORNING, BUT WARMING UP. THE CHEROKEES ARE HAPPY AND SO AM I.

HAD LUNCH WITH "SAMURAI SAM" YESTERDAY AT A PLACE I DON'T USUALLY GO TO. THEIR RUBIN SANDWICH WAS MUCH IMPROVED FROM PAST EFFORTS. HAVE TO PUT THEM BACK ON THE GO TO LIST.

Gris, Found a Stainless Taurus PT945, the guy wants to trade for a revolver. I'm looking at trading him my S&W K frame Model 64 (I think) 38 Special that I got from my brother. What would be a fair deal? Both guns have show a little wear.

Paperwork Thursday

Got my W-2's and 1099's together. Easy peasy year. Just taking the standard deduction on the personal. No home sales, medical or other high deductible crap so it is what it is. Even in years when I compiled a mass of expenses the standard deduction was usually more generous. Bills are paid to date so I guess I can move onto more fun stuff. Thinking about washing the cars and running everything to keep them all ready for action. I have some wrench turning to do on the Vettes but don't think I'm that motivated. Need to set a day aside for that. Headlight motor gear replacements and need to pull the cluster on the 90 to replace a bulb, plus replace a door switch, the door ajar/light button on the 91. The Porches are fine. Overcast and generally blah outside. Actually, it looks like a great day for a nap.

$250 TO 300 FOR THE SMITH; $350 TO 400 ON THE TAURUS, HOW BAD DOES HE WANT IT :-) YOU COULD THROW IN SOME CABINET WORK---

.38 TO .45 IS A GOOD MOVE.

He backed out, wanting a shorter barreled handgun. But doesn't want to sell it outright either.

No rain here, just a beautiful day in general.

Sold a few tools out of the big lot I purchased the other day so that made a small dent in my out of pocket cost so far. Hopefully I will make up the rest by next week and then see what profit I can turn (aka, use money to buy more stuff).

Tommy, I still have to get all of my paperwork together for the taxes. Maybe next week. We always get a very healthy return because I overpay during the year on purpose. Our little savings plan.

I did that for a number of years. Pro's say put it in the bank and it will grow interest. What do they know? Put it in the bank take it out of the bank and you have zilch. I liked the forced saving no interest plan. A nice refund check deposit thanks to Uncle makes the year more survivable. By the way, are you making contributions to a retirement account? If not, start an IRA and max out your contributions to the best of your ability every year. I assume you want to have a nice little nest egg when you get to be retirement age.
