worked most the day putting up the shiplap wall in our bedroom. lots of work but I think it looks good.

Had 1/4 inch underlayment ripped to 8" strips at Home Depot. 5 4X8 sheets. which cost like 67 bucks..... I then put them up after marking all the stud locations using an 1 1/2 finish nail. We used nickels to get the spacing between the boards uniform. we used random lengths so the seams were different as we came down the wall. I started at the top and went down. used the level on the first couple of lines but not after that. It was a two man job with the longer 8' boards and keeping the nickels in place.

The wife closed in all the nail holes and has started to paint. i will show the finished wall when we get it done.

Morning guys.....I'm pretty sore this morning. I slept until 9:15. Everyone who I've talked to that has had this particular hernia repair has told me the first two days are the toughest. So I'm hoping I will move through today and tomorrow without much hoopla. I think I was still under some of the drugs yesterday as it definitely is more uncomfortable today. Hurts like H3LL when I sneeze or cough. The side effect of the anesthesia, is the constipation and I really need to go, but haven't been able to yet and it really hurts when I try, double edged sword.

The wall is looking good Marcus....I might just have some time now to look at your drawing and try to come up with a plan.

Gris, they are talking the possibility of some moisture for us today and tomorrow. It might come with some severe storms. The temps will moderate the next few days as well, looking at mid 70s the next couple days.

Morning y'all.. finally have a slow day at the office. Needed it. Off tomorrow so I'll start moving the cousin's things and then head back to the tax office to finish that up. Came in under what I was expecting to pay this year so might use the remainder for a treat for myself. Thinking some new loungers for the pool area.
Get well quick mojo, Tee!
Marcus that wall looks cool, and gives me an idea actually for a ceiling out in the pool house. We want to use sheet insulation out there and that's a good way to cover over it and it'll match the rest of the space.
Supposed to start raining here and Sunday is projected to be beautiful. Plans are to find the bottom of a beer bottle and collect sun.

Howdy! Been busy all morning again, but the week is flying by. Dreary day out there, good to be indoors.

The wall is coming along nicely, Marcus! Hope you're feeling better soon, Tom.

I need one of these:

Marcus, looks like a shipload of work.

Just came back from a delivery. 100 15 gallon silver buttonwoods between 50 and 75 lbs each. I asked Sue if she knew how old I was. I told her she must think I'm 40. I still work pretty hard for a sexagenarian. Really, I'm in pretty good shape.

A sex-a-what???

Yowza, of course the outdoor sectional I'd pick out that I liked best would be the $3,000 one.

I kinda like this one too tho I wonder about the quality for the price... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sundale-Out ... 2-Throw-Pillows/859368284

It's been a pretty good day. I took one pain pill at about 9:30 and haven't really needed another one. I haven't done much, and never planned on much.

Looking good there, Marcus.

eBay was having a rebate sale so I ordered the new house water filter system. $200 damn dollars. Now I get to do plumbing

At least the weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow.
