Hidey-ho! It was a balmy 31 and snowing like a madman when I left for work this morning. It would be a nice winter day, if it weren't for the fact that we're over a month into spring.

Bundle up, Gurus!

GLOBAL WARMING STRIKES AGAIN---

SUNNY, COLD, AND SOGGY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES REJOICE TO SEE THE SUN, BUT WON'T BE SEEING IT LONG.

DARLING WIFE'S RENOVATIONS ALMOST DONE AND THE HOUSE IS RETURNING TO NORMAL IN PIECEMEAL FASHION. SKEET LEAGUE SUPPOSED TO START SATURDAY BUT THE 90% CHANCE OF RAIN THAT DAY MAY DICTATE OTHERWISE.

SCIENCE MARCHES ON:

Scientists determine the time of extinction of ancient porcupines in the Altai Mountains

I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED ABOUT THAT---

We made it to KC. Went straight to #1 GDS high school,to watch her swim at a swim meet. This is a pool I've never been to. Nice facility, but it is warm and muggy in here.

thanks everyone for the storm mojo from yesterday we had what the news called a 'gustado' - wtf? looked an awful lot like a tornado to us. I can't see how I have leaves left on trees as they're splattered all over the house. My beautiful cannas are shredded and so are both my my white bird plants. Mothboll sized hail was piled all over the yard and no clue how the water kept from getting in the house. The clean pool is destroyed. Why does god do this? Could be worse, I know but dang the work. Some had roofs off, fences destroyed, other stuff. Bless them.
Brad, the blower I currently have is corded. I like it okay but I needed one to vacuum up stuff around the pool area, not good idear to be dragging a cord through the pool I figger. The one I got now is a Husqvarna gas powered one. From the looks of things post-storm it'll get a work out. This is the one I got: http://www.husqvarna.com/us/products/ ... blowers/125bvx/952711902/
The old one is a Toro power sweeper 7 amp

Cold here today. In the mid-forties right now.

After I dropped the kids off at school, I went over to mom's new place to do some work. I had to hang some blinds, take some stuff out of the kitchen, help clean up, and do some general work. Got that all done and he had a late lunch. Place is coming together, but still needs a lot of work. Floors and complete kitchen remodel are next.

Got the kids from school and almost time to take #1 to gymnastics. Always something to do.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Wow, sounds like you got lucky compared to some others, Letty! Hope the cleanup isn't as bad as it sounds. Thanks for the info, too.

We got notice that our little town was under tornado warning this evening. Called #2 and she said it was west of town and no damage in town. Hope we at least got some rain out of it.
