Morning guys... Slept in a little. Going to paint the church hall kitchen this morning, so nothing huge on the agenda. It's damp out there, don't know if there was much rain, but the grass and sidewalks are wet. Supposed to be a nice day.

Happy Friday! I'm about ready for this cold snap to be over with - tomorrow's high is "near 50". I brought the potted plants in, since the furnace came back on. Meanwhile, it's been an expensive month - money seems to fly out of my wallet, so I'm too broke to pay attention.

Have a good day, all!

Rainy day. Help a friend day. (Not that I really want to but I will). Going to pick up a couple of items with them and using the box truck. I have a headache already ..... Hopefully it will be a smooth move and I can be done in 4-5 hours. They asked if they could use the box truck but the way they drive made it much too scary an option. (70 y/o lady)

SEMI-SUNNY AT THE MOMENT, OTHERWISE DRIPPY. STORMY WEATHER LAST NIGHT, POWER OUT IN MUSKOGEE, AN APARTMENT BUILDING COLLAPSED, ALL WE GOT WAS A HALF INCH OF RAIN AND LOTS OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. SUPPOSED TO BE MORE STORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. NOT A HAPPY THOUGHT, AS WE'LL BE GOING TO OKMULGEE FOR #3 GRANDSON'S GRADUATION.

THROUGH A MASSIVE EXERCISE OF WILL POWER, I GOT MOST OF THE TRIMMING DONE ON THE BUSHES AROUND THE HOUSE YESTERDAY. TIMELY ASPIRIN INGESTION WAS CALLED FOR.

WE NOW HAVE A RESIDENT CHIPMUNK FOR THE TIME BEING. THEY NEVER LAST LONG BEFORE BRAVECAT CATCHES THEM. TOO BAD, THEY ARE MORE FUN TO WATCH THAN THE TREE RATS.

Got the first coat of paint on, and took the time to get the counter top out of storage. Getting ready to go back and put the second coat on. Then anther trip back to the 'city' for some other materials for my awning, and some tiles for the floor in the hall kitchen and backsplash.

Had some good and bad for the friend favor I did today. The good news was it was on the south side of Miami. The bad news was the stuff was over 6 ft tall and needed partial disassembly. I helped load and unload. Charged the friend for only the gas and tolls, which is truly a gift. Donated 5 hours of my time as a friend. As you guys know, my time is valuable to me.

It was a fairly quick trip to the 'city'. picked up the tile for the floor and the backsplash and materials for the roof of my awning. The awning has morphed from a simple; four legs and simple roof, that I was going to use a tarp for cover, to a more permanent style, corrugated panel roof. Making that change forced a change to the roof structure, so that is was capable of handling loads it might encounter. Doing so also doubled the cost of the project...well actually more than doubled. Additional framing and more cost on the roofing material.

No work tomorrow, we are headed to north central Kansas for a wedding.

Sounds like everybody here has had a productive day.
