Today would have been my mothers 92nd birthday. Happy birthday Mom!

Going to be warmer today and the wind is supposed to blow. Low 60s now but headed for upper 80s- low 90s today. Over the weekend, it's supposed to be in the low 100s. Not quite ready for that yet.

Rosie got home just about the time I headed to a wake service for the child (48) of a former teaching co-worker. The young lady had had issues since birth, but that doesn't make it an easier on the family. Also about the time I headed off I got a phone call from #1s in-laws. They were in town at the local motel. So I had to tell them I'd call after the service.

They came over, their first visit to our house. He wanted to see my shop, so I showed him the shop and the house. While Rosie showed the house to his wife. We really like these folks and have invited them back when they have more time to spend.

I got to go for now, I'll check back later. Have a great day.

Happy Friday! Yet another bright, sunshiny day. More of the same tomorrow, but it'll be stinkin' hot. I don't mind, since you don't have to shovel it.

I thought Leslie Gore was dreamy back in the day :P

Have a good one, Gurus!

The rains have eased. Up north of me they'll be swimming for a few more days till the water recedes. People crack me up when this stuff happens and they blame the local government for not doing enough to help the drainage. Uh-hummm. You live in the middle of what used to be (and is again for few days) the swamp. ....... Pictures of snakes and alligators roaming around the streets. LOL They were there all along, you just didn't see them.

A quote from my Facebook page.

"People don't realize there are many scary creatures in Florida. That doesn't even include the skunk ape and chupacabra . Snakes, venomous snakes, spiders including black widows and brown recluse. And flesh eating bacteria. Almost forgot about that. And sharks .... You're first swim may be your last. Portuguese man o'wars, and no see ums. Oh ya, mosquitoes that can mess up your unborn children. Don't move here. Don't do it. Tell your relatives they better get out of here too. I heard Louisiana is pretty nice" .............

Must be feeling a lot better. My sharp wit is returning. No Matt, I DID NOT say nit wit.

My electric bill from last month showed exactly how hot it was a couple of weeks ago as we teetered off record highs for about a week straight. Ouch.

My nephew has been working on his 88 Corvette convertible. He's got it running and the alternator is charging now. Next he has to tackle some electrical gremlins in the dash. After that he needs a new set of tires and he should be good to ride. He's been excited about it and is getting his license upgraded from a learners permit. LOL He's 21 or 22 now and didn't get his license because he was still in school. I was surprised when I looked at the car when I was up there and there is only around 55 thousand miles on it. Insurance rates in Boston for a guy under 25 are through the roof.

We tried that poster thing on raccoons ...... they wrote LOL and drew pics of giving us the finger.......so we started to shoot the bastards.....

That factory 5 outfit does a great job. I have now decided if I was going to build one of their cars I would build that one...... wow...... nothing looks better than that....

In fact I would rather have that car then those ones at the Crown Rally.......well......maybe.......hmmmm

Hot'er then the hubs of hell out there today and with a blast furnace wind scorching everything...... must be summer...... the AC in the Freightliner was working hard to keep up......

Now something cool to drink and then some time in the big chair........
