The paella party was a success. As usual there was plenty to eat. Between 30 and 40 people on one of the hotter days of the year gathered to eat some excellent Spanish style cuisine. Lobster bisque was outstanding as well as the paella. Desserts were nothing to sneeze at either. The party pretty well forced me into a mid summer clean up around the house and yard. Now that it's over I welcome the achievement but as is my style I did it kicking and screaming. After all work is a four letter word. Going to go cut the grass at the nurseries. Closing time approaches on the two property deals. We are hoping to close on a property that we have been trying to get since about 2008. The grass is overgrown and will take a noble effort to get it into presentable shape. No more than a few days though. I see more four lettered word in my future. Do you work to live or live to work? In our household we have one of each. Looking forward to

Oh ya. As with many major purchases sometimes desire can overwhelm a transaction. Many years ago I came to accept if it is meant to be, it will be. You can hope and wish to the point that it's painful. I don't do that anymore. God's will be done, not mine. As long as God's will doesn't give me a load of work.

CLOUDY AND LOOKING LIKE RAIN IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THIS AUGUST WEATHER PATTERN HAS BEEN WEIRD. CAN SUMMER BE OVER ALREADY?

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY, THINKING ABOUT A RECON TRIP OUT WEST TO CHECK ON THE DOVE SITUATION, IT'S BEEN RAINING OUT THERE TOO; I'M BEGINNING TO GET A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS SEASON.

Greetings! Started the day with a meeting, but thankfully it ended early. After the unwelcome sound of the alarm clock, a meeting right off the bat was just delightful :P

Make the most of your day, Gurus!

MY HUNTING SPOTS ARE ALL WATER HOLES. IF THERE IS WATER IN EVERY COW TRACK THERE IS LITTLE REASON FOR THEM TO CONCENTRATE. ALSO, COLD FRONTS PUSH THE LOCALS SOUTH AND IT TAKES TIME FOR THEIR NORTHERN REPLACEMENTS TO ESTABLISH A PATTERN.

Hey guys....I was up and at 'em early. Nice and cool to start the day. We had another 1/2" of rain last night (about that amount Friday and Saturdays nights too), so when the heat started coming on about noon, the humidity was pretty much crappy and felt hotter than it really was.

I got Most of the trimming done on the kitchen remodel Most of the crown, and baseboard and all of the casing. The crown in the one room wouldn't work...too wide, so that is the stuff I didn't get put up and I have a floor transition piece I have to figure out and that is why I didn't get all the baseboard. I'll get the new crown stained and finished tonight and tomorrow morning, then get that put up and figure out the transition and finish up the base... then I THINK I'm done with that project.

About time to go out to mens golf, so I can relax a bit.
