Labor Day ...... Get your ass up and get something done. Your home is a labor of love. Unless you're working on Labor Day.

SUNNY AND A LITTLE STICKY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, TIME TO CLEAN UP AND PUT AWAY.

HUNT WAS FAR BETTER THAN EXPECTED, MY ONLY WATER HOLE THAT LOOKED PASSABLE TURNED OUT TO BE IN A FLIGHT PATH SO WE GOT PLENTY OF SHOOTING IN. THE MOST REMARKABLE THING WAS THE WEATHER. IT WAS THE ONLY OPENING DAY HUNT I CAN REMEMBER WHEN I DIDN'T EVEN BREAK A SWEAT. SATURDAY MORNING IT WAS 63 AND THE WIND WAS BLOWING;(IN WESTERN OKLAHOMA THE WIND IS ALWAYS BLOWING)MY LIGHT WEIGHT CAMMIES WERE RATHER INADEQUATE.

WHEN WE WENT OUT SATURDAY MORNING WE FOUND COUSIN LARRY'S YOUNG ANGUS BULL OUT IN THE ROAD. WE TRIED TO HAZE HIM BACK THROUGH THE GATE BUT HE CHOSE TO JUMP THE FENCE INTO THE PASTURE. HOWEVER---

IT WASN'T LARRY'S BULL, BUT A FENCE JUMPING TOURIST BELONGING TO A NEIGHBOR :-)

Howdy! I for one will not be looking forward to the alarm clock tomorrow - I am just hitting my stride. It's gonna cool off considerably the next couple of days. At least we got some of the good stuff over the long weekend - usually we get a crappy weekend, followed by great weather just in time to go back to the salt mines.

Have a good day, all!

I was off Friday so gathered things around the house to prepare for camping. Bf had to work. Insurance adjuster came along with roofing contractor. We made mention of some other things, keeping fingers crossed for good news. We got to camp spot at 8 ish Friday night. A day late by me but it's our first weekend away in a year I think.
ive been here all weekend:

Hey guys...slept in some, then got up and sprayed some finish. we then headed over to the 'city' to do our weekly grocery shopping, and to pick up a few things for the shop.

On the way home, we saw a minivan with two older ladies sitting in it, the flashers going and with a flat tire. So I swung around, making a U-turn going back to see if I could help. It was two Mennonite ladies and the tire is shredded. She says her son is coming, but I said I'd get it for her. So I get the jack out, get it jacked up and removed the flat, but the spare is tucked up under the floor beneath the drivers seat...freaking weird place. Her son gets there and, goof thing, has a compressor as the spare is low. We get them on the road to the 'city' to purchase a new tire as they have a 4 hour drive in front of them. Rosie and I swing back around and head west. We get about 3 miles down the road and Rosie says, "Is that someone standing in the ditch?" Yes it was, so I stop to find this young man thumbing for a ride. I ask how far he was going, and he responds that he is headed for Syracuse (a little town 30 miles west of us) I told him I could get him 10 miles down the road. So we got him loaded up and dropped him off at the convenience store.

Back home and sprayed the front side of the doors and put stuff away. Now watching the Royals try to give away this game. Thanks goodness, we finished it off.....

Gris, western Oklahoma is about like western Kansas, windy most of the time. We heard the guns going off most of the weekend. Haven't heard much on how the hunters did.

Oh, I heard back on the 007, Z06 I found for sale. It is a live auction September 20th. 45k on the clock, red/black. Inspection day of sale, prior to the sale. I'm thinking of it as a flip.

Crap. Looking at hurricane tracking models on Irma. Went out and gassed up the vehicles and bought cases of water. I starting to do some early prep just in case. Many of us are seasoned hurricane victims so we know what we need to do. I just hope and pray it turns before the models are showing today. I wish a hurricane on no one. Even tropical storms can drop a sheetload of water causing flooding. I learned 19 months ago that 12" in a day is not a good thing around this neighborhood. Anyway, be prepared ..............

Tee, good job picking up those good karma points;)
Marcus we have a good team once in a while lol the school itself aintvalk that. Keeps raising rates with unjustified educational quality to back it up for the most part. They try to compete with the Razorbacks but don't realize they'll never be all that.
Gris I have to agree with that lady
