We've had the new property 2 weeks now. This is how it looked after 10 days. There are still a few big trees to be removed. Last pic is the trash pile

That pile will get much smaller if the county doesn't pick it up and the storm hits. It will get shared with the whole neighborhood.

CLEAR AND COOL THIS MORNING IN THE NATIONS, VERY MUCH LIKE OCTOBER. GUESS I'LL MOW THE OBSTACLE COURSE TODAY.

TOMMY THAT'S QUITE A TRANSFORMATION---

TEE, I THINK IT'S JUST ABOUT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A GOOD TRIGGER PULL ON A DOUBLE-ACTION PISTOL. ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE THE 1911 :-) A DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER CAN BE MADE TO HAVE A DECENT SINGLE ACTION TRIGGER THOUGH.

Morning guys....really cool here, 45, but headed to upper 70s to low 80s.

I'm concerned for you Tommy. The lot looks super (huge improvement over the first pics you posted), but Irma looks like a real biatch. All that work might be for naught. Well not completely, but you might have to do it all again, unless the storm takes it all away for you.

Waiting for the sheetrock guy to finish up, before I can continue on the kitchen project. I think I've done everything I can do to prep for it. Saturday morning, we head west to the mountains for a week, so once we get back I can start the process of cabinet installation.

Gris, I think my Taurus has a better feel. I was able to shoot my 1911 for the first time (Charles Daly). It shot nice, my first time shooting a 1911.

I better get to it, have a great day guys.

Greetings! Nice and sunny now, of course. It was dreary and cool last night for golf, with a smattering of sprinkles. Not a washout, anyway. Meanwhile, busy as hell here, gonna set my sights on a nap later. There will be $5 million worth of Cannonball cars across the street late this afternoon, but I'll probably skip the show and opt for the nap.

The lot is looking great, Tommy - continued storm mojo.

Have a good day, all!

Poor, poor Marcus ;-)

I decided to forego my nap, and went over to see the Cannonball cars with a friend. Hopefully I can get the pics off of my phone with minimal pain.

DARLING WIFE GOT BUSY IN THE KITCHEN AND WE HAD DOVE & MUSHROOMS OVER RICE WITH ORANGE MARMALADE. YUM. THINK I'LL TOP IT OFF WITH SOME ELDERLY WELLER'S ON THE ROCKS. LIFE IS GOOD.

Tommy the property is looking nice!
I want one of those palm trees so bad here! I have been looking online after seeing some windmill palms that grow year round in Memphis. There are some "cold hardy" varieties - way more than I thought. I plan to get one once I make up my mind .
I also am worried for you. This storm looks like a horrible one. They say it's the worst in history and can wipe the place off the map. And with that in mind, we have folks here bitching because Miami has cancelled the game with us. Seriously? FB pages are blowing up like mad along with sports show radio stations around here. It's insane. Now I know that for whatever reason, they didn't want to come here to start with and was trying to avoid it, then they were offered an opportunity to reschedule, and declined instead and cancelled due to the hurricane. Folks here say that's an "excuse" and call him out because he is going to Alabama this weekend to get ready for an upcoming game next weekend - or so the story goes. Either way, safety is more important, I'm not judging.
Cold front here too - was 89 or something today and beautiful and by the time I got home was like 70. I'm not liking this fall crap. Nope.
