BE ADVISED: THE END OF THE WORLD HAVING BEEN POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE, YOU'LL HAVE TO PAY BILLS AS USUAL.

Morning guys.....End of the world? Naw, it's been beautiful here. Cool this morning, and rained off and on all night. Nice gentle rain. Rosie says we got about an 1 3/4". Just beautiful.

Headed over to the 'city' after while to do the weekly shopping.

Have a great day.

SUNNY AND MILD IN THE NATIONS, NO BREEZE, THAT'S NOT A GOOD SIGN. WE COULD USE A BIT OF YOUR RAIN, TEEBEE, BUT I DON'T THINK IT WILL MAKE IT THIS FAR. I'M GOING TO HAVE TO MOW AGAIN ANYWAY.

That's been some heavy thinking poetry lately Gris....... I will ponder it.....

Huskers managed to win yesterday over lowly Rutgers......it wasn't pretty.....but we sure the hell will take it.......

Nice here today......not as hot.......got to do some mowing before the big rains tomorrow........

Enjoy your day Guru's.......

The whole F150 overheating/cooling system saga was a fiasco yesterday. I originally told BIL to do it all at once and do it right...he didn't want to, wanted to try to band-aid fix it and I was dumb enough to go along.

Anywho, got the system drained again and swapped out the new water pump. Coolant didn't look too great even though it was new. Picked up some of the leftover crud. Refilled and test drove and still overheated. I ended up taking everything apart and found the radiator appeared to have an airflow issue. Fins were blocked a little. Spent a lot of time cleaning that and the condenser. Did another flush and refilled. Last test drive of the day showed good temps, but air temp had cooled off about 10 degrees. It needs another long test drive today to finalize everything.

At the end I have probably 8 hours in a 3 hour job. BIL isn't paying labor, so I guess it doesn't matter to him. Not that he's taking advantage, he just has no clue whatsoever about what is involved. Next time wife told me just do it right despite his objections, tell him it's necessary, and give him the bill. Works for me.

I have the kids today while wife is working. Need to figure out something to get them out of the house.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Greetings! Looks like a nice day out there, supposed to stay that way until tonight, and then pffffffffffffft. We went down to the car show late yesterday afternoon - it was steamy and there was no breeze whatsoever. But the cars and the mini-donuts were great. Among my favorites was a '57 Dodge Royal Lancer, identical to this one, right down to the pristine condition, color and options:

Another one I really liked was a black '32 Ford Vicky - it looked very stock on the outside, having the painted wire wheels (though much wider than originals). It was sporting an LS1 and 6-speed manual under the hood.

Have a good day, Gurus!

I saw another one that was pretty cool - I think it was a '48 Dodge convertible, looked very stock other than the new Hemi under the hood.

Meanwhile, the Viqueens are looking much more like a football team today.

Another, almost, inch of rain through the day. Got back from the 'city' and proceeded to watch the Royals get their arses kicked...we're done....
